I think whether or not it would annoy me would depend on the way it was handled. I think blanket bans are not appropriate, and should be appropriate for the individual situation. I would expect that the kinder send home a detailed list of snacks etc, because if it is a life threatening issue then it is vital that the parents all get it right, and expecting people to without giving detailed guidance isn't really acceptable.
