Rozzie, I agree that Alec's family have some loopy expectations there. :P Fredrik's family have actually said that they surely don't expect anything from us from now until a month after the baby comes (and I'm not expecting a C-section!), but when there's already 8 grandkids in the family I guess they get what it's like!
-
Hi Ladies,
Did anyone hear from Cindee yet? I would love to know how Miranda is doing.
Ellie, it has to be able time for your bub to arrive. When is your c-section?
Rozzie, I know that the measurements are normal and that they can be off by quite a bit after 12 weeks. I just can't keep the bad thoughts and worry out of my head.
Jude, I know it won't help but my SIL just had a baby 2 months ago. The cord was around her neck twice. She was born nice and healthy by c-section.
Tildy, are your doctors going to keep an eye on your kidneys? I know that you are at an increased risk for bladder and kidney infections, that is the last thing you need.
Jo, I can't believe you are past 30 weeks already. I can't wait to be past that point, I think I will breath a little easier knowing that our little man could come early and he would have a great chance of coming home healthy.
-
Hi Ladies

Hi Ladies
Hope you are all keeping well.
Our appointment on Wednesday went well. Everything is looking good so we are very happy.
Our scan yesterday was great! Our little Lamb is 28mm long and had a heart rate of 170bpm. The sonographer said we had a little wriggler. Our bub was moving and stretching all the time. It was so cute. It has a tiny head and little arm and leg stubs. So cute!!!
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Take care.
Theresa xx
-
Ooh, Ellie, "The last weekend"! That sort of makes a tingle go down your spine, doesn't it? :)
Congrats on your little wriggler, Theresa!
-
Wonderful news Theresa! They look so cute wriggling around...isn't it the most amazing thing you've seen!
Yep Tildy...spine tingling...and a whole heap of butterflies in the tum everytime I think about it. Hopefully the anxiety will lessen after I see Ob and anaesatist (spelling?) on monday...so scared of the epi etc...
-
Good luck today Ellie with your ob appointment. How amazing to think that you will be holding your little one in your arms sometime this week. Keep us posted!
Great news on your scan Theresa :D
Laney - it is funny just how much more relaxed I now feel being past 30 weeks. I thought it would kick in at 28 weeks and it did a little bit, but now as each week passes, I just feel better and better. I am actually starting to enjoy my pg now - finally! Not long till you hit your goal too & it certainly helps having had such good scan results so far for you too :)
Rozzie - you are now on mat leave aren't you? WOO HOO! I went into work last week and finalised all my leave and it was so weird putting on my "out of office" saying I was on mat leave and would be back early 2010! What the?? I know once bubs arrives that time will fly by. How long are you having off work?
Saw my ob last week and all is good. Bubs is still head down which is a relief and my ob is now saying he will take the stitch out at 37 weeks. Only 6 weeks to go!! Am hoping he can get it out without the need for an epi but we won't know until the day.
Keep well everyone :)
-
Ellie - I can't wait to read your birth announcement! You will have your baby in your arms in no time. Very exciting! Let the countdown begin.
Laney - how is everything going? I am keeping you in my prayers and thoughts.
Jo - I can't believe your ticker! 31 weeks. Fantastic! How are you feeling?
Hi everyone - look at your tickers are flying by.
-
OMG Ellie that brings it clsoer to the other 3 of us close by. Tildy, Rozzie and me... was there anyone else due April? braind dead ATM. we could al go now at any time.
Theresa good news on the scan and you gotta love the wriggling :)
Laney so good to hear all is well for you.
Jo well into the 3rd trimester now :)
The cord is no longer around Daniels neck yay so that is great. he has gained from 5lb 4 12 days ago to 5lb 11 and still looking to be 3 wks ahead of schedule.
Lots of b/h ctx and back ache and feels like at times he is trying to punch his way out or force his hand thru lol. On each scan he always seems to have his hands up on his head, he better move them down before delivery!!!
hugs
Jude

Hi Ladies
I'm so emotional today! Have just read all your posts and so overwhelmed with joy for everyone...such a positive vibe is soooo wonderful!
My appointments went well yesterday...fund measured 40...blood pressure all good and for the first time ever bub slept through the scan... so we're set to roll! My MIL is being a cow and has no plans of coming to see bub and my parents are driving me mad...dad even wanted to swap cars with me today so he could wash it and detail it for the drive to the hospital...I thought you only did that for weddings lol!!! So I'm dealing with the two extremes and Pregzilla is about to rear her ugly head! So the answering machine is on and I'm in my bubble until my parents arrive to babysit the furkids while we're in the hossy. I'm sure time is standing still....sigh :)
-
Ellie,
great news, good luck! can't wait to hear your announcement. Your MIL does sound like a cow, though an absent cow is much better than an in your face one!!!
Rozzie
-
Ellie I feel all tingly with excitement for you! I love that your dad wants to detail the car - I say let him do it. Bubs deserves a shiny clean car for the trip home. Very cute. And I agree with Rozzie - best that your MIL stays well away. You don't need someone like that around at the most amazing and happiest of events. Her loss and she will live to regret it.
Jude - wow Daniel is going so well. I can't wait to hear your news. Do you think you will make it to April?
Anna is doing brilliantly. She is now 3 months old and is all giggles and smiles. She has just found her feet and thinks they are great. We are heading to a mum and bub movie this morning.
-
Hi ladies,
had my last scan and OB appt today. OB wants to book me in four weeks today, which is a week or so later than expected but oh well. I'll just have to be patient!
DH had a day off today, we did some shopping and stuff and ended up being out all day long, me feet are sooooo sore... but we finally got a rocker and ottoman that we ordered 6 weeks ago and it's lovely and comfy.
Anyway that's about it for me!
-
Great news all round ladies - YAY!!!!!!!
I can't wait to hear everyone's birth announcements. So exciting!!!!
Yesterday was a very sad day for me as Zachary would have been 7 months old yesterday. Had to get through the day at work then came home and cried for ages. Lit Zachary's candle and cried some more. DF was wonderful as always and just held me and let me cry.
Our nuchal (sp?) scan is on 12 March - it feel so far away and I can't wait to see our little wriggler again!!!!
Hope you are all taking care of yourselves.
xxxx
Theresa

Hi Girls
Jude - Great news about Daniel..you must be so relieved about the cord!
Katie - So happy for you..Anna sounds like such a cutie :)
Rozzie - Thanks hun...you're so right...should focus on the 'absence' of the cow lol! Great news about your apppointment. Isn't it weird having a date? So excited for you!
Jo - Hope your Ob can get the stitch out without the epi...6 weeks is nothing...woo hoo!!!
Tildy - How you feeling? Kidneys ok?
Theresa - So happy for you feeling your little one jumping around...enjoy!
Well...that's all my brain has retained...sorry for anyone I've missed!
As for me...just got my cot and bassinette sheets in the post so busy washing...talk about leaving things to the last minute! Have called the hospital to confirm my admission time and the midwife told me I have one of the luxo rooms with the double bed so DH can bunk in...yippee...now I have to stop worrying about all the 'what if's' and focus on the fact this little one is big and healthy...he/she WILL scream and the paed WILL tell me bub is ok...that is just how it has to go...it just has too!!!!
-
Oh Theresa...we posted at the same time...yesterday would have been so hard hun..I'm sorry...
-
Ok...so I couldn't wait...have let the cat out of the bag in my belly buddies thread...we go to hospital tomorrow arvo and bub will be here Friday! I can't not tell...I need all the positive vibes and prayer for this little one...trying not to be scared!!!
-
My kidneys are good. There's a bit of a problem with urine draining from them and into my bladder, which is causing the severe back pain, but a combination of changing positions and a prescription for a strong pain killer is what the doctor ordered.
Ellie! Very exciting news -- I'll be thinking about you tomorrow.!
Otherwise, I'm not in a great place emotionally right now, which is why I've been and will continue to be silent for a while. But it'll work itself out.
-
Oh I am sooo excited for you Ellie!!!! :leap: Sending you loads of good luck and positive vibes for Friday :goodluck:
Theresa - sorry to hear you had such a rough day yesterday.
Not long at all now until your NT scan - it will go so fast and you'll be seeing that little bean again. I like having a go at the "nub" theory for the NT scan for guessing gender so if you get a good pic, post it and I can have a guess if you want! Can't guarantee I'll get it right of course, but its a bit of fun...
Jude - that is excellent news about Daniels cord
Rozzie - 4 weeks...wow! I only noticed today that you, Tildy and Jude are all due on the exact same day according to your tickers. Funny if you all actually did post your announcements for the same arrival date :)
Katie - sounds like Anna is just a delight. I can't wait to be holding my little princess!
Tildy - hope you are doing okay.
DH bought himself a book today called "The Expectant Father" as he is worried he knows nothing about what to expect or do when she arrives. So cute of him.
I am starting to get quite uncomfortable movements in my belly now as she runs out of room - lots of pokes and hard bits sticking out of me, especially right under my belly button. I am guessing knees, elbows or heels but who knows? We saw this baby doll in the shop the other day that was about 40cm long - amazing to think that is fitting in me at the moment!! No wonder I have bits sticking into me all over the place
-
Just sending through lots of good vibes for Ellie - I can't wait to read the announcement. Sending all my thoughts and prayers to you and your precious baby.
-
Ellie - Good luck!!!!! I can't wait for your announcement!!!!
-
stalking Ellie... can't wait to hear a BA!
-
Has anyone heard from Ellie????
:comfort: Tildy...
-
Hi Ladies
Just popping in to say hello. I hope you are all keeping well.
How are all you pg mum's to be?
I am doing quite well. Haven't had too much m/s and just a fair amount of heartburn. I am waiting for my next scan on the 12th March - I can't wait!!!!
Tildy - How are you doing? Sending you big
I hope you are all well !!! I will be praying for you all.
Love
Theresa xxxxx

I'm alright. I'm on maternity leave now, so I'm being all housewifey, which means I'm wearing myself out too much. :P I aggravated the SPD so much by being active yesterday that I wasn't sure I would make it up the stairs to bed, let alone how to conquer the issue of getting INTO bed. Today I'm going to take it WAY easy, and work on some little craft projects I have for Kebab's room. I'll post some pics of our nursery later, hopefully I can finish these wall decorations I'm making first.
The emotional downturn has to do with my parents, and I'm trying to deal with it the best I can, but it's not easier given that I'm alone with my thoughts all day.
If anyone missed Ellie's birth announcement: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...lie-mummy.html
Theresa -- I feel lucky that I didn't get bad M/S and could handle heartburn and such with relative ease. I hope it stays that way for you too!
-
Thanks Tildy - I didn't see it until just now - and I was started to get worried.
Congratulations Ellie - finally your arms are full - enjoy every sweet moment my love!
Welcome to this world Anika - I can't wait to see a photo! :leap:
-
Hi everyone!
Just popping in quickly...still in hossy and hijacked a computer lol!
We have been so blessed with our little girl. C section was great ...but soooo quick. I was so sure we were having a boy so the surprise of a little girl was really special. DH has been by my side the whole time and I only changed my first nappy yesterday!
Hope everyone else is going ok...can't wait to catch up on everyone's news!
Thanking you all for your love and support...Exxx
-
big, big congrats Ellie, Anika is a beautiful name, and what a big healthy girl!!! I hope you recover quickly and enjoy bringing your miracle girl home.
I'm also convinced I'm having a boy... we shall see!! My Caesar is in a few weeks so guess I'm next!!!
-
CONGARTULATIONS Ellie !!!!!:confetti:
So happy for you and glad everything went well.
-
Rozzie and Tildy
You ladies will be our next mums!!!!! It is all so exciting!!!!
-
Congratulations Ellie and what a beautiful name is Anika. I am so very happy for you after all your years of waiting, you finally have a baby girl to love adore and cherish.
Tildy we dont have stairs in our hosue,( designed with my dad in mind as he has been told with his particular diabetes he could end up in a wheelchair) yet by the end of the day i struggle too to walk to bed then trying to swing legs up into bed? Gee that is like visiting the OB na dhaving to get DH to help me up onto the exam bed for the scan and measurements. Turning over in bed? Other than whale size the pain is also debillitating. But hun, we dont have long now.
Rozzie you may end up beofre me with the c sec lol. My OB says I have the perfect pregnancy as far as baby is concerned and the amount of fluid I have which by now has started to run low. I am hoping though he may still induce at 38 wks as he is aware of how quick my labours go and the fact we live out of town. Much better to induce while I am in hospital than deliver a baby on the side of the road. I also tend to have non-typical labour in that you can never tell if I am in labour or having false labour until I get to around 8-9cms and then hold the baby a few minutes later.
Theresa not long now til your NT scan :) Its so kewl seeing the bubs wriggling around and so nice and early too. I love your ticker and how descriptive it is.
I have bad reflux, really bad, and currently home from yet more hospital visits for preterm labour and slow movements. Spent a night in then several days going back and forth with CTG traces but so far so good. Next Wednesday sees a BPP scan and msot likely another CTG.
Pics of scans on my blog in my siggy, click on page 56 lol Iĺl have to add the latest belly pic.
hugs all
Jude

Jude
I hope you are taking it easy. Get plenty of rest.
Not long now and you will have your precious baby in your arms. I hope all goes well with your next scan.
Just look after you!!!!
Theresa
-
Well, it looks like Rozzie and Jude are both in the running to be the next birth, but I'm pretty sure I'll be number 3 of the three of us. :) I have just been working on the assumption that I'll go overtime. As far as I know, I haven't had a single BH yet either. But now that I'm home, I'm a bit more comfortable and a bit less anxious. You should see how clean the house is and how very packed my hospital bag is though! And the list of people to contact after Kebab comes, and the nursery almost completely finished, and I'm even working on making up some meals to put in the freezer so we can eat microwave for a while after the arrival. I wonder if there's such a thing as being too prepared?
-
Tildy, you're clearly nesting... the nesting has yet to hit me, I'm so lazy right now. My Mum is coming to stay in a week and a half so I think I'll work her.
it's 0230 and I can't sleep, and tonight just happens to be the night I run out of heartburn tablets... yay...
-
Still here *twiddles thumbs*
Trying to see how long I can go withouth the stemetil today.
Had lots of b/h ctx last night but nothing to get concerend about and so far today just lots of movmement.
Anyone else taking raspberry leaf tablets, EPO and BD?
So hoping it wil be making things easier for when Daniel does decide it's time
-
Rozzie, Jude, Tildy...getting close now girls! I am so excited for you! The relief of hearing Anika cry was a moment I will never forget and can't wait for you all to be sobbing with relief too. I wish I'd been able to enjoy the last weeks more instead of being consumed with worry but that's behind us now...I miss feeling her in my tummy...but holding her is just the best!!! Lots of belly rubs to you all. E xxx
-
Heh, it's possible that I'm nesting, but it's probably not a result of me being pregnant. DH agreed with me when I claimed that I'd always be like this if I suddenly got a 10 month stay-at-home vacation, pregnant or not. Hopefully he's more on the appreciative side of having a clean house and food on the table rather than thinking that I'm annoying and losing my mind.
What is the purpose of the raspberry leaf tea and all that other stuff, Jude? Hmm, I'm still pretty sure I haven't felt a single BH yet. I wonder if that's a bad thing. I'll have to ask my midwife today when I see her. What I DO feel is about 3 session a day of kick boxing! I've never gotten a kick that hurts, though... just the spot where Kebab is kicking all the time ends up hurting, but the actual kicks always make me giggle.
Ellie! I hope that what you're feeling and experiencing right now takes the place of all that worry and anxiety you had in the last few weeks and even before that. I'm just so happy for you every time I think that your too-long road finally came to its destination!
-
Jude, Rozzie and Tildy - enjoy these last few weeks and I know you will have your babies in your arms in no time.
Jude - I drank Raspberry Leaf Tea and did a few others things and Anna was still 11 days late. I would do it all again though as next time I am going to avoid induction if possible as I am super sensitive to the drip.
Can't wait to see all these baby announcements!!!
-
Hi Ladies,
I just got back from the high risk OB. Our little man is on the big side 71st percentile. I guess he is about 2.2 pounds now. It is still so difficult to understand/believe that he is growing so well.
I had my GD test yesterday because I have been feeling a little sick. My doctor said that diabetes wouldn't make me sick but who knows.
Ellie, I would love to see some of your first pictures. Do you have any posted anywhere?
