Congrats Rozzie! I am soooo happy for you! Just wonderful news!
Jude - Thinking of you hun...hang in there...not long now!
Big 'HI' to everyone else...all a blur here...Anika doing great...me having a few issues with boobies and c section scar...thankfully it's all happening to me and not to Miss A!
Looking forward to catching up on everyone's news. Exxx
any word from Jude?
also Laney how are you?
Hi Ladies, I am awaiting news of the other babies due anyday now!
Rozzie, thanks for asking about me. I am doing really well. Have you had a chance to post any pictures yet?
I had a growth scan last week and everything is looking good. Everything is still measuring on the big side. I am having weekly scans with my high risk doctor starting this week. They are not to check growth every week but something called a biophysical profile to check on fluid and activity. I will start having nonstress testing done twice a week at 32 weeks. Lots of doctor appts every week between my high risk doctor and regular OB. As long as he gets here healthy it is all worth it.
Rozzie - congratulations on the safe arrival of your little man :cheer: Enjoy the precious moments
Jude - how did your Ob appointment go yesterday?? COME ON DANIEL !!!!
Congrats to all those beautiful bubs born!! It's making me clucky for sure!!!
Lee xo
Hi girls,
Got a message from Jude - and..............
 DANIEL HAS ARRIVED !!!!!
Lastnight, 31st March at 9.50pm, weighing 7lb 9oz, and healthy and gorgeous!!
Jude said she went to her Ob appointment in the morning, and discovered she was already 2-3cm dialted, with Daniel engaged - and after the Ob performed a sweep, she was getting contractions within the half hour. Had her waters broken in the afternoon, and the little man arrived in the evening!!
WELL DONE JUDE, AND WELCOME TO DANIEL!!
You are living proof us old girls can still pump out bubs (lol!!) - and I'm so relieved you got the natural birth you wanted and that your little man is here healthy and happy.
Lee xo
Jude - congratulations!!!!!! :happyforyou: Excellent news on the safe (and natural) arrival of Daniel. Enjoy every minute of the special bundle
Wow, Jude, congratulations! Especially on the pleasant surprise of not having to be induced! :) Welcome Daniel, now we have two little men to fawn over.
You've got lots of attention on you, Laney! I'm very glad to hear that. You're one of the ones I've been hoping and crossing my fingers for extra much. It'll be good with the frequent non-stress tests. Now that you're soon past 30 weeks and they've got a handle on things, it feels more safe that they will be able to help bubs out in case something goes wrong. But it won't go wrong! :)
Nothing happening here yet! But I think I might be having BH now -- it's hard to say, as whatever is happening is a tiny bit painful and uncomfortable, but not nearly as "stop in my tracks" as both my midwife and the one from our classes said. And of course the BH apparently indicate nothing much. But with every little slightly painful twinge or lower back ache I'm going "Yeah, come on! Hurt more!" :D
WELCOME TO THE WORLD DANIEL, Judy, I'm so happy for you hun, you so deserve this, xoxoxo
Go the old girls!!!!! :cheer: (I can say that cos I am one!) YIPPPEEEE for achieving the birth that was right for YOU and your Baby! Go the vaginas!!!!! :cheer:
Congratulations again my love. This has made my day!
Hi ladies,
Congratulations Jude on the birth of Daniel!!! A bit stressful in the last week but I'm so glad things worked out the way they were meant to.
Laney, really glad to hear from you and thrilled things are going so well. It really sounds like you're getting the attention you deserve and I know that you'll take your boy home too.
I've finally worked out how to post some pics. I have millions of course but it takes ages to post each one and I'm watching him stir and hoping he stays asleep just a teeny bit longer... Here is our boy

We are doing well generally, he feeds well and my boobs are actually not too sore which I was dreading so that's excellent. trying to get him to sleep in his bed at night has been a challenge but to be expected. I got the post baby blues when my milk came in and unfortunately the feeling of recovering from the Caesar as well as the similar weather brought back all the memories and feelings of when I had Edward, which added a whole other dimension. But I'm feeling better now and chatted to the midwife this morning when she came round to weigh him and it was good to know it's completely normal. Otherwise I still can't quite believe he's ours and he's here and healthy!!!
Love Rozzie
I am a bit late with my congrats but here goes....
CONGRATS ROZZIE ON THE SAFE ARRIVAL OF HENRY!!!!:clap::clap:
I checked out your photos and he is adorable!
And of course,
CONGRATS JUDE ON THE ARRIVAL OF DANIEL!!!!:clap::clap:
Tildy - hope your bub decides to make its arrival soon for you! Should we be aiming for another blue bundle (sorry, can't remember if you know the sex or not)?
Laney - congrats on how far you have made it. It is wonderful seeing your ticker just speeding along there and it sounds like your doctors have you under close watch which can only be a good thing.
Not much to report here. My stitch is booked for removal on the 14 April (unless I go into labour earlier) and I will possibly be induced the same day - ob will decide on the day depending on my cervix and how engaged she is. Bubs has definitely dropped though & I am secretly hoping my waters break before the scheduled stitch removal date so we can just get it over with. I just want to meet her now!!
Hi to everyone I missed and hope all are well.
My goodness Jo, I swore you were only about 30 weeks, then I see your ticker and it's almost time!!! So excited for you, less than two weeks till you meet your little girl. Enjoy your last days of pregnancy.
Jude, I am so happy to hear that Daniel is here and nice and big.
Rozzie, I love the picture of you and baby Henry! I can't wait to see more pictures as he grows.
Tildy, You should be next! Unless Jo decides to go a bit early. I still think that you are having a little girl. When is your next doctors appt.?
I am starting to relax a bit about this pregnancy. I think talking to my high risk doctor last week was a huge help for me. He said that babies that grow at or above the 50th percentile at this point will not have a growth problem later. He said that he has been doing this for a long time and knows what he is talking about. I also know that there are a lot of other things that can go wrong during pregnancy so the extra ultrasounds and nst's should help me relax. I hope!
Jo (jlk)- I have wanted to ask you how you have been doing for a while now. I am not too sure why but I didn't know how to start that post. I see that I missed Finn's Birthday by a few days. I hope that it wasn't too difficult for you. I just wanted to tell you that I have been thinking of you from time to time and I am glad that you post once and a while.
Judy - congrats on the arrival of Daniel, I remember when we were on the ttc road together, its so wonderful to see the much anticipated arrival of Daniel, I know he's been a long stressful time coming, enjoy this precious time with your gorgeous little man. Can't wait to hear how you are and how it all went, but so great to see you got the delivery you wanted.
Congratulations to all your wonderful women on your recent arrivals, I'm sorry I don't know too many of you these days, but congratulations my thoughts are with you all. We all know the road to this moment is full of obstacles and high stress, but you girls are proof that we would go through anything to have healthy babies.
Laney - so great to see you here, and to see you getting looked after with more attention. I'll be watching you closely with all my thoughts and deepest prayers coming your way hon, good luck
to all the ladies who are still pg, good luck, your doing so weel just to even try again, look after yourselves and keep focussed on that good outcome, i know thats hard to do, but even just a little bit of positivity can do wonders on getting you through.
it has been so long lovely ladies i dont really get on BB anymore. dont take it personally i just decided that i needed to get on with living in the real word to help me move on a bit. but please know i think of you all often and it was so great to check today and read of two new arrivals!
my little man is lovely and growing up far too fast, i dont know where the time has gone. i updated my ticker so you can see a more recent picture of him.
jude - a big huge congratulations to you and your family and welcome to the world Daniel. i am so happy for you that all went well.
rozzie - also congratulations - sorry its a bit delayed i hope you are loving every minute with precious Henry - i love the name too!
hugs to all
CONGRATULATIONS JUDE ON THE ARRIVAL OF DANIEL!!!!
That is awesome news. I am so happy for you :leap:
Thank you everyone esp Lee. Was so great to meet you and Remy today .. and the cakes were delicious :)
Laney I was having CTG monitoring and the BPP weekly with Daniel and it was reassuring. The CTG were sometimes every 2nd day. It will help with the bonding too seeing bub so frequently :)
Hey Klee and Simba, your bubs are looking really so grown up now .
Jo big (((HUG))) for Finns angelversary.
It is Annabelles this weekend. I am hoping when we leave here Sunday morning (I am still in hospital enjoying my 'holiday') we can go to Kingston Cemetery first with some flowers for Belle and introduce Daniel.
Tildy those b/h can change almost in an instant to the real deal and you wouldn't know unless you were being monitored. I wasn't sure if my ctx were the real deal or b/h but once I was in hosp and the OB came in and ruptured the membranes they got much more intense. He did say rupturing them would move thngs along a bit faster but I still reckon it was the check at 8:15pm that got things moving from 1 ctx every 10 mins to 3 in every 10 mins and he arrived shortly after.
Daniel is a sleepy bub, slightly jaundiced but will be ok once we are home and in routine and more sunlight than is available here. Building work going on so the window is blocked with construction screens.
He is stirring so time to go.
hugs all and thank you for the congrats msgs :)
Jude
Hi Jude - I agree, was lovely to actually meet someone from BB in real life!! And getting that cuddle with Daniel was precious - yep, super clucky here, and have decided to start trying for my last bub as of NOW, well yesterday actually. Daniel is super cute, and SO little!!!! I'm usesd to my big 9 or more pounders with lots of chub!!! So, to me he's such a little fella, but they are all cute really. Glad you like the cakes, that French bakery is just a tad close to my house and gets a bit too convenient at times!!
So, girls will keep you posted if and when I need to rejoin this thread....... watch this space. Although I'm tired just thinking about being pregnant with a toddler - I did this 10 years ago and it's all a blurry memory now!!! Ah well, I'll just have to find me a willing Nanny or two
Lee xo
Lee my email is judy3264@hotmail.com if you send me an email I can reply and sned you the pics from the other day :)
Hge hedache today that will not shift.
Thinking of you Tildy.. any news?
hugs
Jde
No news; still pregnant! :)
Tildy - any news????
Howdy all,
Well I finally made it into this thread - ok so its still early days and this little bean has already caused its mummy to panic twice but we are so far so good.
I have joined my due date group but I don't it will be the same as sharing fears with people who have been through similar to me. Especially as Nikita's 1st birthday and angelversary approach over the next couple of months.
Still I am hopeful that Beanie will be my earth bound baby and that this time bubby will come home from hospital with mummy and daddy.
Looking forward to sharing stories and advice with everyone.
Nae x x
Welcome Nae!!
It's a big step I know to make it to this forum, so congrats. Only a few more weeks for you and you'll be in the 2nd trimester.
As for us, I had a WHOLE night's sleep last night thanks to DH being wonderful and giving bub some expressed milk, as well as an unusually settled bub. I felt a bit guilty but I needed the rest. DH is back at work on Tuesday so I need my energy up to take on more of the burden, he seems to spend more of the night up with bub than I do.
Love Rozzie
Stalking Tildy...any news???
Hi Ladies
Any news from Tildy yet?
No, nothing at all yet. I tried to help it along by going out to dinner and a movie last night, but alas -- no contractions just as the food was delivered or just after buying the movie tickets. ;)
 Tildy hope it happens soon for you :D
 Thanks Rozzie, I am pretty nervous but excited all at once. I am going through the "do I argue and get a stitch put in JIC or do I trust my Ob and just be monitored closely" arguement in my head atm. My Ob doesn't believe I have an IC and that our probs started with contractions but who know? All I know is I never want to walk that road again. I am seeing a specialist for the NT scan in 3 weeks so will see what they think.
Hi to everyone else *waves*
Nae congratulations hun on your pregnancy. How frequently can you ask for scans to check the cervix length?
My aunt is down South Gippsland way, she is in Paynesville. We have been there twice now. Long drive from Melbourne but even longer when you do the reverse trip leaving in the middle of the night to be on the ferry back to Tasmania at 7am for the day crossing.
Rozzie wow lucky girl.. I am lucky to get 2 hrs sleep in one go, more like an hour and then it takes about an hour or over for a whole feed process .. it takes Daniel a while to find the right latch coz he changes his mind each feed how he wants to be held.
Tildy wow still waiting!!!! Has your OB talked about induction at all???
Jo how are you faring?
Theresa you would also be at the ahcy stage.
Lee hopefully your next BFP won't be too far away :) Did you get my email with the pics? If you want to share them here on the gallery feel free.. I cna't even find the gallery anymore so add pics of Daniel. There are some on my link to my blog though.
Thinking of you all
hugs
Jude
ETA pic of Daniel from the gallery, I just added 3. I got there by looking at Rozzies gorgeous pics of Henry.
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...hp?photo=13060
Tildy - wow - still waiting. I hope your little miracle arrives soon!!! I will keep holding thumbs, fingers and toes for you!
Nae - Congratulations and welcome!
Jude - Yeah achy and very tired all the time lol. Feel like I have no energy at all?!?!?!? You must be pretty tired too waking up all the time.
Rozzie - Good to hear things are going well.
Hi Ladies!
Tildy, Still no news? How long are they going to let you go before they give you some help going into labor?
Everything is still moving along with me and bub. I had a growth scan last week and he is still growing well. I start my nst's on Monday. I am going to be very busy with doctor appts for the next couple of months. I have 2 nst's, a biophysical profile, and a regular OB visit every week. They also toss in a visit to the high risk OB and a growth scan every 2 weeks. I don't mind at all, I would go in everyday if I could.
Tildy any news yet ????
I noticed you are in Sweden, I lurve Sweden its my favourite place in the world second only to my hone that is ;) I went there in 2002 to a Swing Dancing Camp held in Herrang (can't work out how to do the accent things) we spent a week in Stockholm first then 4 weeks at dance camp. I just found the 22 hour daylight thing challenging  I guess winter would be worse hey.
AngelicDragon - I haven't been to Paynesville yet but have heard its nice!! I think the plan will be weekly checks of the cervix from 16 weeks but I will remind Ob at my next appointemt that he said from 14 weeks last year.
Laney - I am glad things are still travelling nicely for you.
Zm - how are you going?
Just wondering, How many of you had a preterm bub by C-Sec?
I had a thought the other day that I was not fully pregnant with super huge bump when I had my C-sec I was only 24 weeks into the pregnancy. Will that make a difference to the uterine rupture risk?
It sounds silly but my rationing of it all is that I was smaller than a full term mum therefore the scars will have to stretch further when I reach full term? does that make sense?
I cannot believe how many things are worrying me, silly little things, all the what if's.
I guess everything is becoming harder as we get closer to dates when everything started last year - like the 4th May when I was admitted into hospital and first told I was expecting to give birth within 48 hours. the 25th May when Nikita was born and the 2nd June when my little girl couldn't fight anymore and we switched off her life support.
I am begining to feel very isolated from friends who cannot relate though they are supportive I just cannot talk to them. BB is the only place I have in the entire world where I feel comfortable but I hate feeling like a burden to people IYKWIM.
ahhh anyway I am just letting off some steam - pay it no mind I will be better after a rest.
Nae x
Just lurking, but wanted to let you know NaeNae that I had my DS2 at 41+2 (and 4.48 kilos) after having an emergency c/s with DS1 at 34w, he was 1.9 kilos. Nobody mentioned anything about my scar at all.
In fact, my second c/s scar (larger baby) was smaller than my first...
HTH
Thought I better say hi and stalk Tildy...hope Kebab doesn't keep you waiting too much longer! Hopefully he/she is already here in your arms
Nae - I think Rozzie had a similar thing to you with the early c/s which is why she had another c/s this time around. I think there were some slightly increased risks with trying a VBAC due to where her scar was located but I am sure she can expand on that for you! Or maybe look at the last thread because I am sure she went into some detail about it for her particular situation. Horrible isn't it, all these extra things your mind comes up with to worry you - like you need another thing to worry about!
Laney - GREAT news that bub is still growing so well  It is so great to see your ticker up above the 31 week mark now; keep up the good work!
Jude - I just looked at your pics of Daniel. That one of you and he meeting for the first time is just gorgeous.
Well I get my stitch removed tomorrow...feeling a bit nervous but can't wait for it to be out! My ob will examine me after removal to see if conditions look any good for induction but I have a feeling I will be coming home to wait it out. So, there is a SLIGHT possibility we will meet our little girl tomorrow...but most probably not. I'll keep you girls posted :)
Hi to everyone I missed x
Nope, sorry guys, bubs has not come out yet. Instead of a baby I have a nasty cold. I'm doing everything I can to get rid of it fast because I simply CANNOT imagine giving birth in this condition!
Laney -- always happy to hear that you've had a good scan! Are they still checking up on you at frequent intervals? To answer your question about how long I'll go -- we have an appointment on April 16 (14 days after my due date) for an induction assessment. If my cervix is ripe, then they'll induce me at 7:15 the next day. If it's not, well... then I've already told DH that I might turn violent, as they'll make me wait a couple more days yet! ;) But my midwife said that it's almost never the case that they don't induce on day 15 there and that they never ever have let it go past 43 weeks. Come on, Kebab, 3 more days to do your thing *poke poke*!
Jo -- Ooh, a big day, having the stitch out. Quite a milestone and a sign that things are coming along nicely.
Naenae -- (unfortunately) your worry about your early C-section isn't silly at all, judging by Rozzie's experience. Like Jo said, have a chat with her if you can (though she's got her hands full with Henry!). As for Sweden, I LOVE the long days in the summer! We have more like 20 hours of daylight down here perhaps, and DH, being both a native Swede and a big fan of sleep, isn't too tickled about it, but I love love love it. But yeah, I'm not sure it's worth the trade-off of averaging 20 minutes of genuine sunlight per day in the winter months... oh well, this weekend has been super sunny and lovely, so I'm not going to think about winter now!
Any of you who have gone into labor naturally before -- did you feel anything at all before they real, for-sure contractions came? Thing is, I feel NOTHING -- or rather, I have pain and aches and tiredness in my entire body EXCEPT my lower back and my uterus, which feel nothing but continued harmless kick-kickity-kick-kicking.
Hi Nae,
as far as your pre-term c-section goes, it was all explained to me like this.
In a regular full term c-section, the incision is made in the lower segment of the uterus, which isn't very muscular and doesn't contract like the top parts. Due to this, a VBAC afterward is fairly safe as the scar is in a spot that isn't particularly stressed during labour. However, this lower segment doesn't usually form till about 28 weeks, so a cut made before this time, whilst made low, doesn't guarantee the scar will be in the lower segment. My OB said that there are so few cases like ours there's no way to know what the risk of rupture is - it's somewhere between a normal c-section and a classical one.
So your scar may be in the muscular part, meaning a higher risk of rupture. During my recent C-section, they remarked my lower segment was paper thin, and actually ruptured when they moved the bladder out of the way. The OB afterward said that the bladder was probably stuck on some scar tissue so this is what caused the tear. It was very lucky I didn't go for a VBAC. I can have another pregnancy but if it's worse the next time they may recommend no further pregnancies, we can only wait. It's hard to judge in my case as I fell pregnant again really quickly (within 3 months) whereas it takes 6-9 months for the uterus to heal.
Does this help/make sense? I asked a lot of questions and think I understand it pretty well so if you want to know more let me know. I was so set on a VBAC but when he said he couldn't tell me what the risk was I thought there's no way I can make an informed decision. Losing another baby because of my decision would have been too much for me.
Love Rozzie
