Hi Everyone! Hope you don't me jumping in like this! I got my BFP on Friday and am feeling extremely excited (however very cautious and a touch FREAKED OUT!). We miscarried back in July, getting a BFP on the Fri and miscarrying on the Monday so I'm still sort of very tentative. I had spotting last week and it's cleared up and so have the cramps so I'm feeling ok, and the tests were much darker.
I'm sure in here I'll find many wonderful women (some from the TTC forum) who are pregnant, excited, yet don't have the innocence of a stress free pregnancy! I want to enjoy this (my last) but know that will be near impossible. Looking forward to taking it day by day and ticking off the milestones (hopefully!).
Just wanted to say hi and hoping it's normal to be feeling freaked, anxious, scared yet hopeful all at once :-)
-
welcome Powelly
I dont post much in here nowdays, but i'm sure you will receive a big welcome from te others, congratulations on your pregnancy.
everything you are feeling is perfectly normal.
Dory - Thinking of you, hope all went well :)
Laney - are you ok, havent heard from you for a while
Hi everyone else :)

Sorry i have been MIA , we are just cruising along here, nothing much to report ( i guess that is a good thing tho isnt it!!!)
i am having ALOT of trouble sleeping cant get to sleeep once i do it only lasts an hour then i am trying to fall back asleep all over again. I spen half my night wishing it was mornign so i could just stop trying to sleep grr lol
Feel bad complainign tho cause all i ever wanted was to get big and uncomfortable when i was pregnant with kyarna...
Have a bit of a cold or something too , horrible cough, sore chest so that doesnt seem to be helping at all!
Its our little angels first birthday on thursday and i am finding it a bit hard to deal with and im sick of hearing people say stupid things like... ohh i didnt realise you cellerbrate thoes kind of days.... grr its her birthday why wouldnt we cellerbrate...
but anyways slightly off topic!
Sorry for the lack of personals but i will get there.... one day lol!
Hope everyone is doing ok!
Bobbie

Bobbie - glad to hear you are going along well, I hear you on the sleeping, in the last 8-10 weeks i didnt sleep much at all.
as for those people who say stupid things, i have found it is something that we will forever have to put up with :( By the way I love your angels name, it is beautiful, xoxox

Hi Ladies,
I had my weekly ultrasound today and everything is looking good. :) Bub is measuring big and is moving well. My c-section date is now on the books!
Dory, I wish that you would post. Hope everything went well.
Bobbie, nice to hear from you. I am also sick with a bit of a cold this week. That has made it even more difficult for me to sleep. Last week it was the stomach flu! No more trips to the playground for a while, just too many germs.
I will be thinking of you and family on Thursday.
jlk, thanks for asking about me.
Powelly, I have spotting with cramps in early pregnancy. I think that it is pretty normal. All of your feelings are very normal. Pregnancy after a loss it a roller coaster ride.
TeniBear, I had/have the same feelings. It is just too hard to believe that things will end up differently. I always have those thoughts of "when will this baby die" I wish that I could tell you that the feelings go away in later pregnancies :(
Just remember that your doctors are there to help you through this tough time. If you need to check on bub every week with an ultrasound then do it. Keeping a close eye on your pregnancy will help you relax a tiny bit.

Laney, Yay for your good scan
Bobbie, This time of year is bad for colds and flu's everyone seems to have them, I hope you are feeling better soon. Big hugs for you for thursday i will be thinking of you, unfortunatly some people don't realise that they should keep their opinions to theirselves.
Powely, I have everything crossed for you hun.
Teni, Big hugs sweetie
Dory, Huge congrats hun, I cried when i read you BA. I hope you are all well and enjoying your lovely bubby snuggles.

Hi girls,
Congrats Bec!!! How lovely that you're having a wee princess. So happy for you hun!
Laney, glad to hear your scan went well hun, and yay for the c/s date!! It makes it all real doesn't it? Can't wait for your bubbie to be earthside (not that I want bub to arrive now or anything!!!!) lol
Mummyof4, thinking of you today on your angel's first birthday, big hugs!
Powelly, thinking of you hun & massive hugs xxx
Hi to teni, jo, butterflyforever, jlk and dory and anyone else I missed! Hope all is going well for you ladies.
I am going OK, looks like we're leaving for China mid November now. Don't know if I told you but my BT for the egg reserve came back good at a normal level, so when we come back from China we'll be TTC. Can't wait to be in this thread!!!! How many times have I said it before......lol.

Hi girls
Sorry to have been MIA but I have been checking in!
Dory, a MASSIVE congrats on the safe arrival of your princess. I hope you can get on here soon to fill us in on the details. I noticed you had her the day before your scheduled c/s date?
Laney, yay for another great u/s!
Beata, great news on the egg reserve, can't wait to see you back in this thread. Try and make it before I pop okay? ;)
Bec, congrats on your little girl!
Hi to everyone else I missed.
Nothing new to report here; my m/s seems to be on its way out finally! I have my morph scan in 2 weeks and another cervix check. Other than that, am starting to feel bubs moving which is nice.
-
Samcougar - awesome news on your bundle of pink! And measuring spot on for your dates..... I am so pleased for you.
Hi all - I was hoping to catch up a little, but have realised I can't. Too funny. Life has really changed for me with the arrival of wee Hannanh on 22 Sept. She sleeps like a champion during the day but not at night, and I on the otherhand am much better at sleeping at night but not so much during the day now... where has my pregnancy ability to sleep for 4 hours during the day gone? In reality, apart from trying to catch some zzz's when I can we are going really well. DH is has just been amazing. I adore her most of the time, but at others am just perplexed by my inability to be able to meet her needs.... specifically to work out why she is unsettled and to settle her. I might try and change my ticiker, but I am really not very technologically minded. Thinking of you all and hoping to catch up more consistently soon.
Belly rubs.
-
Dory, welcome back hun :) dont worry too much about not being able to work some of these things out, its early days for you both where you are still getting to know each other, for now just enjoy her being here. there were times in 1st few weeks with Tehya that i was very unsure about some things & I had done it all before, anytime you need a chat about it all I'm here, xoxox
-
JLK - thanks sweetie. Newborns are just such a mystery! I had heard it doesn't really get any easier to decipher their cryptic messages if you've had one before as they are all different. Wind or Hunger... just feed and see, if they aren't bviously windy by bringing their legs up to their tummy. How do you manage with 4 others in the house & a DH? I just realised Teyha's fingers look really long in her phhto. Too cute. Hannah has long fingers too - certainly didn't get that from me - I have short little sausage fingers.
Beata - awesome news... about your eggies and not getting to China til November...a bit more time here. I can't wait for you to be in here!!! Yay! I reckon not long to go.
Laney - how are you going?
Bec - good news on your pink bundle. Go the girls! ( but not to worry Beata I adore Cam even if he's a blue bundle :) )
Mo4 - hugs for your angel versary. Hope you coped ok and did something special, even if it was just a few moments quiet time to reflect. To remember and honour them is enough.
Hello to everyone else, hpe you're going well. Sorry in a daze at the mo.
I am going to see if I can catch a nap.
-
Dory - they certainly are all different. I cope okay with all the others but then the first 3 are alot older so they are a help to me (sometimes) :)
-
Hey everyone
Laney - how are you doing? Haven't heard from you in a while but then again we have all been pretty quiet!
Dory, I hope you are enjoying those newborn cuddles and all is going well. Are you recovering okay from your c/s?
I had my morph scan this morning which went well. It was a bit earlier than planned as I had some brown discharge this morning which FREAKED me out so I rescheduled the appt and got some reassurance. Not sure why the discharge is brown but my cervix is behaving itself at the moment -nice and long over 4cm and closed up tight. The stitch is sitting perfectly too. Bubs is growing well and the songrapher was pretty happy with everything but has made a note for the heart to be double checked again in 2 weeks when I go back for another cervix check just because its still pretty small at this gestation. She could see 4 chambers but just wants the blood flow checked again. So all in all, good news for now. I just wish this brown colour would go away cause it is stressing me a bit :(
Hi to everyone else and hope you are all well.
-
Jo, yay for a great scan hun!! Awesome news. Hun, don't worry about the brown discharge, as you know it's old blood so I wouldn't worry about it. I had a brown discharge around the 13 week mark with Cam and totally freaked out, but the OB said it was most likely a small vessel that popped and nothing to worry about. Sure enough, 2 days later it was gone. Luckily I was due for a visit anyway, so he had a lookie and everything was fine in there. Great news about your nice long cervix hun, at the end of the day bub and cervix is behaving so that's all that counts! Big hugs and I'm sure the discharge will go away soon :p
Big hello to everyone in here!!
B x
-
jo, congrats on a great scan! I have had brown/pink discharge with every pregnancy (except this one). With Grayson I had it on and off until 35 weeks. I can only imagine how nervous it makes you.
Ellie, if you are still reading I would love to hear how everything is going!
I have been doing okay. I am chugging along. I am starting to have visits from the crazy lady again. I think it is because we are unpacking/washing baby stuff. I can't stop thinking that we wont have a bub to bring home to use it all :( I am just trying to stay positive. Bub is doing well right now and the weekly scans are helping me to relax a tiny bit.

Hello lovely ladies,
just popping in quickly while my mind is with me. I FINALLY have seen my Ob and he told us why we lost Riley. apparently the placenta had gradually died, He dosn't know why though. He is really upset with the hospital for not telling us why. (they told us they didn't know! :wtf: ) Also my last bloods said that i have antibodies on my blood type, elevated liver enzime levels, low blood platelets and my blood sugar is elevated! I didn't have any of these with Riley. My god what else could go wrong!! although he said that they were all only slightly elevated etc he just isn't leaving anything to chance, I have more bloods next week, I have to see him every 3 weeks and have an ultrasound every 6 weeks. He also said that he won't let me go to my due date and that he wants to induce me as soon as its safe. I was a bit in shock when i was there and now i'm worried how far along "safe" is! I just hope our little girl is a fighter.
sorry, i just needed to get that out. I'm a bit panicky at the moment :dunno:
-
Bec, hang in there lovely. Sounds like this doc will do everything in his power to get bub out safely when it's time. He has a good plan, so that's reassuring. Big hugs hun and keep positive, you'll both be fine :D
-
bec, it sounds like your doctor will be watching you and your little girl very closely. I hope that gives you some comfort. Your blood test results show a few possible reasons why the placenta could have aged too early.
-
Laney, what a great u/s pic of you wee man! He's gorgeous :)
-
Laney - awesome new pics of bubbs! And I like the change to your ticker. 35 weeks - so close but so far. I understand your fears about not having a baby to come home with you... I did the minimal prep for Hannah, as I was convinced we would leave the hossy with empty arms again. But, thankfully I was proven wrong. I find the closer I got to 40 weeks, the more anxious I became. do what you feel is right. If you feel up to it - wash and sort those clothes. You won't have time when bubs comes home!
Bec - oh sweetie... so disappointing to get mixed messages about why Riley died. I am sorry. But the plan sounds good for this bubs. Any time is too early in some senses, but in reality every day past 24 weeks in utero gives bubs the best chance but also means that bubs has good chances if born, so it's relatively good from 24 weeks. I clung to that magic 24 "viability mark" and it did help.. although as I said to Laney, getting closer to the 40 weeks was pretty hard in terms of anxiety. I got to 35 weeks and wanted a caesarean so I knew bubs would be safe, but we managed to nurse little Hannah to the 40 week mark, then I needed an emergency caesearan. ( can't spell that word to save myself today or indeed any day).
Beata - can't believe Cam is 7 months old. Wow! We are having a few difficulties here with Hannah, but have an appointment with the Paed on Tuesday to talk about them. I got a bit frustrated with the child health nurses conflicting advice. The hardest thing ( apart from the inconsolable crying) is Hannah is very fussy and takes a very long time to settle, maybe because she is hungry. But it can be very demanding, and if we leave her to her own devices she just works herself up. So not much time for me on BB. In fact I am listening to her start to work herself up now, so better go see if I can help her. Take care my friend.
-
Dory, I was only stirring you about your short posts of late on belly....hehehe, I know what it is like to be in a daze for the first few weeks when bub arrives!! I remember I had so many questions (where is that damn manual! lol) when Cam was born. He was really unsettled for the first 6 weeks, as he was very windy and I've tried every trick in the book to help the poor wee mite. I finally settled on infacol as it worked the best for him. Talk to your mchn or paed if you have any concerns, they can be really helpful, but I do understand your concerns about conflicting advice from the mchn. You'll find better advice here on belly I reckon! I remember that I really had to keep an eye on Cam when he would work himself up about something, as if I left him too long he was a nightmare to settle. Hope you find a way to settle wee Hannah, but remember hun, by 8 weeks they get so much better and by 12 weeks it's heaps and heaps better. So keep the faith hun and offer lots of cuddles, cos in a blink of an eye Hannah will also be 7 months haha and a you'll wonder where your cute little baby went!!
-
B - i agree, it will go in a flash - and it's good to know there is a change not too far away... I just wrote a longer post and lost it. Need to catch some zzz's whilst I can so won't post now....
-
Hello lovely ladies, Just popping in to see how everyone is going. It's very quiet in here.
I hope everyone is well
Bec

Hey girls
Bec, I have been wondering where everyone had gone too! I saw that you found out what happened with Riley - a good friend of mine lost her little boy due to placenta insufficiency, not sure if that is the same thing that happened with you but for her following pg she had regular growth scans and they constantly checked the placenta flow to and from bub and she arrived nice and healthy by c/s at 36 weeks. May not be the exact same thing that happened with you but thought I would share a good news story with you anyway :)
Laney - that ticker of yours is zooming!! I can't remember when you were scheduled for bub to arrive but if he hasn't already come, I am guessing it must be pretty soon!! Make sure you keep us updated!
AFM, had a scan this morning and all is looking good for now. My cervix has shortened (grrr) and has gone from over 4cm down to 3.3cm so still not a crucial, dangerous loss or measurement but still a bit scary for me. I hate seeing a loss in length and am very scared that I might end up back in hospital like last time around so am planning to have the next few weeks off work and just try doing as much bedrest as I can manage at home in a bid to keep my cervix stable. Other than that though, bubs is growing perfectly and was even using my cervix as a bit of a punching bag which was pretty funny to see. I still don't feel a massive amount of movement but my placenta is right at the front and bubs is lying with its feet right on it so every kick is going straight into the cushion.
Anyway, hope everyone else is going well!
-
Jo - sorry to hear your cervical measurement is different. Good to be proactive and rest - can some of it be explained by a different tech and or machine doing the measuring? I am so glad to see you at 20 weeks! yay. Still early days in terms of feeling baby move...
Laney - how are you?
Beata - love the new pic of Cam. I am going to have to work out how to attach a pic to my sig... and then decide which one... :) All ok here. Hannah sleeping and having Grandma cuddles - already she is able to multi task! Go Hannah Bear.
Have I missed anyone? Shout out if I did - and sorry :P
-
Hi Ladies,
jo, I have been thinking of you. I am glad that you have some time off of work. Try hard to rest hun. I know how difficult that can be with a toddler. My placenta is in front this time as well. I didn't feel movements until 20 weeks and they were not regular until 24 weeks or so. When do you go back for another measurement? Are you going to find out the sex?
dory, how is everything going?
I had my ultrasound and appt on Monday. Bub is growing well and my cervix is nice and closed. I haven't been able to get onto the computer much because I just switched my blood thinners and the new injections are making me very dizzy and sick :( It is slowly getting easier to function. I have to stay on these blood thinners because they are out of my system faster just in case things start to happen before my c-section. Other than feeling crap I am doing pretty well. I still have that crazy lady fear that bub will not have a heart beat everytime I wake up :( He is pretty active most of the time so I am able to relax a bit.
-
So good to hear from you Laney! I was wondering if maybe you had gone early and that was why we hadnt heard from you. Mustn't be long now though hey? Those blood thinners sound horrible :(
Dory - so great to see you still popping in. Hannah sounds like a very clever little monkey with that multi-tasking :D
I have another u/s this Thursday so am nervously awaiting that... I will be 21 weeks tomorrow which is a little scary, hitting the week that I was when we lost Luke but I'm just trying to stay positive. We did it okay with Kaitlyn (despite the 3 week hospital stay) so it CAN be done...thats what I keep telling myself anyway.
I haven't found out what we are having but my DH has. Lots of people are amazed that I am okay with that but it was really important for him to know so I don't mind him knowing and me not. He is extremely tightlipped about everything so I know that nobody will be hearing anything from him otherwise I wouldn't have agreed to it  Secretly I think I know from what I have seen on the u/s but I haven't had it confirmed so will keep it to myself for now.
Had a bit of a low moment last night - a bit emotional approaching Lukes 3rd birthday and the whole 21 weeks pregnant thing. My brother and SIL are expecting their 2nd bub 2 weeks after us (they had their 1st 2 weeks after us with Kaitlyn too!) and found out yesterday they are having a boy. I am thrilled for them but got a bit sad when some comments on facebook from friends were along the lines of "finally a boy for the family" etc. Just made me sad as the family already has a boy, he just happens to not be here with us :crying:
Anyway, my downer moment for the evening but am feeling okay today. Hope everyone is well.
-
hi girls ive been mia for a awhile its lovely to see that everyone is doing well, we had our big scan this week and everything looks good execpt small placenta but they are watching me and my lil man :) very carefully.. love to all :)
-
Oh Jo, big hugs sweetie  I get really upset when people comment that there is only one grandchild for my mum. There are two! I hate is so much when people forget about Joshua, it really cuts me up. GL for your scan on Thursday hun, and I hope all goes well for you. Sending your cervix a wee message....stay nice and long!!
Hi to everyone else! Glad everyone is doing well :p
-
cindee, I was getting ready to pm you. I am glad that your ultrasound went well. How is your blood pressure doing?
beata, how is everything going with Cam?
jo, I don't think I could not find out if DH knew the sex! I also like to bargain shop and that is a bit harder to do if you don't know the sex. My c-section isn't until the 10th!!!! I had Grayson at 37 weeks and 4 days. This time, since I am supposed to be more relaxed, they decided to make me wait it out :(
I am sending massive hugs your way. Milestones and angel days are hard. It makes it even harder when you feel so alone remembering your angel.
Do you have someone helping you around the house for the next couple of weeks so you can rest a bit?
-
