Quick update. My Dr thinks it was most likely a viral infection rather than food poisoning and she said given what I had eaten if it was food poisoning, it certainly wasn't salmonella and highly unlikely to be listeria. She said the most important thing for the baby is not to be dehydrated, and given I wasn't sick for a long period of time & got fluid into me straight way, thinks that everything should be fine. She also checked the baby's heartbeat, so I'm feeling much better that bubs wasn't effected. Very stressful experience!
Berry :hugs: It's VERY worrying. but I'm glad everything is ok and you got onto that water quick smart.
I had a 48 hour stomach bug about amonth and a bit ago. I wasn't spewing though, but I had pooped out everything in my stomach I was down to the acids of my bowel (not pleasant!) I was told the same thing by a midwife. She also said to eat grated apple that had been left for about 20 minutes to go a little bit brown to help sooth the stomach and add something back to it's lining - which I found to be refreshing as well.
Sorry I didn't see your post early otherwise I would have suggested it for you and hopefully put your mind at ease (even a little!)
haha Beata, nah it's pretty much the same! Except people reckon we're the mushiest pregnant couple ever now. Oops ><;;
DH has been home the last week though with a bad flu, so that's put a downer on it a bit.. but i think this morning he may be starting to get better. Fingers crossed - he's the type of person that is just naturally perky and fun to be around (or maybe I'm bias heh) and having him sick and moping around the place is quite depressing
Yerk for the M/S I hope it settles down again ASAP!
its been sooooooo long since I have popped in here.
Just wanted to send you all my love and thoughts as you come up to and pass your "trouble times" I know its particularly difficult and can be ever so stressful and if I can offer anything at all that may help even in the slightest is that the past does not dictate the future. Just hold on to faith that things WILL work out ok this time
Its a hard road to travel and even now I find myself wondering if my little princess is doing ok I have had a few scares this pregnancy especially when I got to 22 weeks and my cervix shortened considerably I was a wreck. We held a wait and see approach and We are still holding on (and suture free).
I am so proud of all of you, you are all amazingly strong women and you will all have beautiful babies in your arms in no time at all - believe me I spent so much time worrying all of a sudden I find myself on the home stretch and have not had time to relax and enjoy my pregnancy.
We walk a hard path but I believe we have a different and maybe deeper appreciation for the preciousness of life. Remember to take time to rejoice and celebrate your pregnancies and especially the milestones as you cross them.
Hello everyone, thank you for your kind words of support. I am feeling much better today. I have my 19 week scan tomorrow, so looking forward to seeing my lovely one and hoping that everything is looking really good.
Beata, bummer about the m/s coming back. I hope it goes away just as fast. As you said, I'm sure its due to a big growth spurt, which is a good thing
Teagz, I hope your DH gets better soon and I hope he doesn't pass it onto you.
Hi Nae Nae, so nice to hear from you. Thank you for your thoughtful words. It is wonderful to be on this side and I do hold onto hope that I will hold my little sweetie-pie soon! Gosh, you are getting so close to the end now, you'll have your little bundle in no time. I am so happy for you and pray for a safe labour & delivery. Take care of yourself
