Well its been a very daunting week for DH and I. We had our early 6wk scan (due to being on clomid) last Thrusday and things moved rapidly downhill from there.

The early scan didn't detect a 6 wk preg in the uterus but found an irregularity on the left fallopian tube. Natually an etopic pregnancy was suspected. Drs were called, operating theatres were booked, but one last check reveled the HCG level too low at 367, so that put everything into a spin. The possiblities included, ectopic preg or a pregnancy less than 6 weeks or a failing pregnancy. We had to wait until Monday to do another HCG test and find out what the HCG levels were doing. So after a tense weekend we had appointment with Gyno today. The levels have moved down to 167. This indicating a failing pregnancy (actually termed biochemical pregnancy cause its so small and never got to the HCG levels typical of a healthy pregnancy). So, we are glad that we do not have to undergo surgery and remove fallopian tube (further decreasing our fertility chances), but are sad for the failing pregnancy (that will end by inself in the next week or two.)
The positive thing to focus on is that after such a long time, we finally got pregnant, so whilst this one didn't hold, we proved we can, and will hope that a really sticky one is on the way soon.
We do need to have further scans next month to find out what the growth on my fallopian tubes could be, however the gyno is not concerned about it now that we have removed the possiblity of it being a pregnancy.
Back to the LTTTC boards for me - but it was nice to visit and I hope to be posting to you all in the pregnancy forums soon.
