Diabetic Preganancy ??????

Hi everyone well number 4 is on the way !!!!! yahhhhhh

, we are sooo excited.

I was wondering if there are anymore diabetic expectant mums out there?

Its been a few years since my last pregnancy and i can't quite remember but my BSLs have gone up through the night with this one and I used to comatose ( slip into a coma resulting from low BSLs ) with my other pregnancys? Has anyone else had this experience?

I am not currently pregnant but I am a type 2 diabetic. I was placed on insulin at 8 weeks and continued until I gave birth. My BSL's were under control until I hit about week 30 then they were all over the place

Sorry but I haven't had any experiences like you described.

Yeah BSL's during preg are #@%& !!!!

I have just formed a group...Hoping that there might be some other mums who have diabetes or gestational diabetes out there.

For some of us it is hard enough trying to concieve and then pregnancy is a whole other issue.

As I am sure you know it does have its moments with motherhood !!!!
