Have you seen the doc or had a scan? Oooh this is exciting!
hi
Congratulations!
Thankyou all again for your wishes.. I had a bt yesterday and my levels came back at 243. Being only really early I am stoked with that. So now I just hope that they keep going up and bubby sticks like glue.

That's wonderful news! I never had a confirmation blood test, told the doc there was no need. So I don't know a thing bout hcg levels, but I do know, the bigger the number the better!
Funny that you say that Catherine, cause I went to a new gp ( my old one is an idiot and told me just to quit the TTC after my mc ) and he said no need for a bt but it was up to me if I want it done. He didn't even do a wee test either or wasn't interested in the hpt that I bought along. He even gave me a slip for a scan if I wanted to get it done before the hospital visit.
Wow, congrats Nic, i'm so happy for you, you must be ecstatic
GL for the next 8 mths or so !!!!
Nic, yeah my doc said that the first bt is more of a confirmation. 3 bfps and no af was a good sign for me, I didn't feel like a stick to make sure. And then I had to contact hospitals asap as there was a shortage of beds at my due date, and I got into my local (when I rang they said they must take me even if they're full and no one else can take me, as they are my local hospital and have a duty of care). And they had a new midwifery program when each patient is assigned the same midwife from prenatal to postnatal. Which was nice and she took over my entire care from about 8 weeks.
Congratulations!! Wishing you all the best for a happy and healthy pregnancy.
