Just got a positive results at home - I think? *super big smiles*

    Hello

In Feb 2010 we decided that since I'm not getting any younger (just turned 30) we might start to try and have kids. After a lot of reading etc, and actually tracking red week, I think I got a positive result about 20 minutes ago:

*removed image due to photobucket stalkers* - Huge thanks to everyone who had a look & gave feedback

The give away? From Saurday 9/10: VERY sore bewbs, going to bed at 7pm sometimes this week, and since Thursday I cannot stand the smell/taste of meat.

Anyway, can someone please confirm that what we're seeing in the picture is correct before I pop off to the GP?

    Thanks

Certainly looks like a positive to me! Congratulations! And if you pee on a few more sticks just because you want to see the line come up again - nothing wrong with that either

    aww thanks everyone

I've never used one before so I wanted to double check.

We're going away in a couple of days (I haven't been on a holiday since 2002 - more than a weekend away anyway), so my plan is to take another test next sunday, then the sunday after when we come home. If they're both still the same result, off to the GP that week

If anyone thinks that is a silly idea (or more so, dangerous) please let me know.

It won't be dangerous hun. Congratulations! Do you have a rough idea of how far you could be? If your period would have been due around now, you're probably about 4 weeks, which means next Sunday you'll be around 5 weeks, and the Sunday after about 6 weeks. I have not booked in to see my doctor yet either, I will be seeing him tomorrow at 5weeks 5 days, so just about 6 weeks. It's completely up to you!

Well, last red week started on 2 sept, but this year its been between 34-44 days in between so it could be anything.

All I know is that I only started getting symptoms on 9 October.

Yeh, I am a bit interested in the levels. I guess if I wasn't going away I'd go for it, but I think I'll wait a couple of weeks

How long are your cycles on average, do you know? Going by your last period with a 28 day cycle you'd be about 6 weeks by now, and 8 weeks when you went to the doctor.

    Hey,

As I said in the post above, this year its been between 34-44 days, averaging more towards 40.

I'm guessing it would be less than 6 weeks for me in that case.
