Ok, Ok - Ive been lurking here for a few days and have to spill my news before I like, burst or something.

We are pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used an ovulation kit this month to see what the lay of the land was after coming off the Pill in early December as we were going to officially TTC in Feb but we were not upset if it happened. We didnt DTD on conception day but did it 2 days before and after and well, by miracle or miracles it happened.

I got a

on the long weekend which was really weak and then another on Monday, so I decided I would just go to the Dr. and get bloods and he rang me Tuesday and said I was preggers!

Suffice to say, I'm in shock. I didnt think this would happen, so I'm almost in denial that I'm pregnant! As much as I am so very very happy - i've had this awful sence of meloncoly that I fell pregnant so quick when I know of so many couples who try so hard and for so long and its doesnt happen for them. I wish they would have my obvious luck and be preggers too - does this make sense or are my hormones making me sound like a lunatic?

Anyway, I'm going to tell my mum today and then we are keeping this to ourselves a few weeks as my husbands sister is getting married in 2 weeks and I dont want this to detract from her big day. We are going to tell my inlaws etc all when she gets back from her honeymoon!

So there you go... now I have to get myself a ticker etc.
Oh we are apparently due OCT 6th or thereabouts YAY!
Come on OCT mumma's... out yourselves!

And I totally understand where you are coming from in regards to you getting pregnant straight away and feeling bad for others. The exact thing happened to me - we fell pregnant on our first try and I felt terrible for the first few days, I couldn't help but feel bad for everyone else who had been trying for a while or was trying and it didn't work for them. It will pass, and know that everyone is happy for you.... it was your time

(and on a practical note - if everyone at the wedding is hassling you as to why you're not drinking, tell them you are on anti-biotics or something. And if they're really nosy/pushy about it just tell them you've had gastro and offer them details

As for the wedding - I plan on walking around with a glass of champagne and just making my husband swig it!!

Well, we have the same due date 06/10!!

I waited 2 cycles after a D & C and we decided to give it a kind of go this month - same as you - very lucky and happily UTD. I understand about the guilt, I have been fortunate that with all my pregs the longest TTC time has been 3 months.

I just KNOW this one is going to stick, we can both feel it ....
