Smile pg at age 46, 5LC and 12+ angels

My living children are aged from 26 down to 19 months. I have many many angels the most prominent being Annabelle, stillborn at 31 wks. In February this year I got a BFP and at 9wks I lost twins Last cycle was a chem pg with tests that never got darker so I am quite pleased at the noticeable darkening happening already.
At 12dpo the FRER is not as dark as with the twins but is darker than with Daniel (my 19mth old). The nausea and sore bbs are also a good sign and face break out

Usually I rush out and get betas done and then my Dr and OB both want early scans but this time am just sitting abck.
I am so tired of having great betas with a faster than doubling time and then scans with heartbeats which after a few weeks just stop so this time I am waiting til 11 weeks.
My OB always gives me an involved lecture over the NT scan and blood tests so thi stime I am getting my GP to arrange for just the scan if I get that far. I know already that no matter what the scan and blood tests come back as my age will automatically put my risk as well under 1:50 and I will be asked for CVS. I don't want to go through that again and from what I have read and been told by sonographers the NT scan and measurements are 99% accurate just on their own so that is all I am doing. We wouldn't terminate anyway unless there was something very radically wrong and life was impossible anyway.
    So there, we go
now we just wait and see what happens over the next few days and then weeks.

OH and BTW, this was an all natural conception as there is no help available for women aged over 44 in Hobart (so I was told 6 wks before my 44th birthday )and we can't afford treatment on the Mainland.

Congrats!!!!! I like the way you are dealing with your early pregnancy. I too made some different choices for myself this time around and it can make a world of difference. I don't see any reason why you should put yourself though any invasive procedure if it isn't going to change the outcome. Sooooo congrats again and I hope things go smoothly for you.

well my Dr wanted betas done so to date they are
    16 dpo - 414
19 dpo - 903 doubling time of about 53 hours.
    Progesterone at 19dpo was 67!
I had my last lot done this morning, 21dpo and will edit them in here when I get them this afternoon.

I was concerned at the doubling time not being 48 hrs even though the P4 was so high.
after some googling I found a blog from a lady who did IVF in 2005.
so bear in mind for 19dpo I was
    beta 903, DT 53hr and P4 67
    hers were
    19dpo 902, DT 60hr, P4 62..... she had B/G twins!

I think if my Dr suggests a scan before 10 wks now I may go along with it just to find out.
nausea and sore bbs are good signs and my current bra is already too small

back again at the end of the day.
levels are not good so just waiting now to m/c yet again. I should be used to this right?
21dpo 1363 (doubling slowed to 80 hrs) progesterone dropped to 53

guess this my adieu from the pg boards

It doesn't always mean you will m/c Judy. My biggest heartfelt wishes go out to you and your bubba. Fingers crossed it stays snuggled in there.
