I have been given a due date by the GP of July 11 aswell, but I also think this is too late, I think it should be around the 8th. I only just sent my referal into Redlands yesterday so I am waiting for them to get back to me with an appointment, dont think I have an u/s until about 18 weeks which seems like ages away. But yeah we may just meet at a class. Good Luck.

I had an ultrasound on Wednesday and was told that I am now officially due on the 2nd of July 2008. Heheh.. Finally some idea of what is happening.. At one stage I had three different due dates.

Sent your referral? I just called them on the phone, told them my due date and that I wanted to give birth there. They took down all my details, gave me an appointment date and asked that between now and the appointment could i get my GP to write a referral.. then just bring that to my first appointment.. I think it would have been much quicker to call them honey! I called about 3-4ish weeks ago and the first appointment they had was early Jan.

we may just meet at a class. Good Luck.
Maybe I think it would be good to have someone i have spoken too in classes with me

I called them first and they said fax us your referal and we will send you an appointment date, earliest I could get in was January 2nd, but I will be on holidays then so I have had to change it to the 9th, seems like ages away!!! At my first class I will have to ask if anyone is AKA Mrs Eeyore.

    Hi Mrs_eeyore,
Congrats with your pregnancy. Have you gone into the belly buddlies july 1-15th group to talk to other mummies to be? Just noticed your post and thought I'd try to help you out. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

Smile Redlands private hospital & OB's?

    Hi girls,

I'm new to this forum and realise that I'm probably posting to the wrong message here, but since you girls are going to the Redlands private hospital and are under the care of the OB's there, I though I'd ask a question.

I'm not pregnant yet, but TTC as we speak. I have been treated by Dr mastry there at the specialist rooms for female related prob's in the past year or so and also had surgery done by dr mastry at the public redlands hospital.

My question is, when I get pregnant, will I be able to see dr mastry or the other OB's there at the redlands hospital and deliver my baby at the Redlands private hospital, even though I live in Holland Park?

I have heard and read on some baby forum sites that you should go to the hospital closest to where you live, or can't attend a hospital if it doesn't fall in your service area (whatever that might mean) and was wondering whether this is true or not? I know that the mater private in south bank is probably closer to me, but I used to live in the redlands and used to go to the hospital there everytime I needed in the past and was wondering whether that could continue?

Any help would be muchly appreciated. Thanks and good luck with everything.
