    Success

Most of you probably won't remember me, but that's cool because I ain't that important

For those that do, DW is 6wks pregnant with twins.

I did an entry this morning, but didn't post it as I am pretty anxious about things at such an early stage with the fear that they won't stick for good. After talking with DW, I figured that I need to start enjoying the pregnancy more, and accepting it for what it is. I always looked forward to posting in this section, so I may as well do it.

We started TTC in May 06, and commenced IVF in July 07. After 4 failed transfers (2 stims, 2 FET) we decided to take a 12 month break in mid 2008 to recharge ourselves. We just lived a normal life, spent heaps of money on stuff we wanted, saw some of the world and generally had a pretty good time. We discovered, after pressing for further testing, that my sperm morphology was back in the normal range (but still a bit borderline IMHO) and everything else was totally OK with me, but it turns out DW has some pretty epic roadblocks in the tubal superhighway for unknown reasons. So it turns out I probably wasn't the cause of the infertility after all.

In Aug this year we did a double FET which resulted in a chemical pregnancy. Seeing those two pink lines for the first time was mind blowing. In Oct we did another double FET, and the two lines came up very fast. The initial HCG test at 4wks was 2400, and had increased to 46000 at 5w2d. Heartbeats were both 118bpm at 6wks and everything is looking great. We have been quite worried since the start because DW has had two bleeds, one of which was quite large, but after the latest ultrasound the FS thinks it isn't posing any threat to the babies. Due to this we're on weekly scans for a few weeks just to keep our minds at ease.

So we've got our fingers crossed that these two are keepers. DW has constant morning sickness which is sort of cool

If my Facebook friends could not mention anything about this on my wall that would be sweet as not many people know yet. Maybe at 12 weeks if we make it that far I will start to relax more.

Oh Massive Congratulations to you and your DW!!!!!!!!

I had 9 chemical pregnancies before this one and even when the doctors said this one was sticking my DH didn't want to announce it till I was 12 weeks too. Since that scan he has relaxed a lot and is allowing himself to get excited now.

    So happy for you guys!!!
