hi - i haven't been pg myself for more than a few weeks, but i am CONSTANTLY being told of the hell i put my mum through when she was pg with me - she bled off and on for the whole pregnancy, went into early labour, managed to stop it, then, me starting out as stubborn as i've been my whole life, i turned up late! i know how scarey it can be - i hope it stops soon for you and the rest of your pg is nice and smooth for you
It's an awful feeling and even though you have had an ultrasound, it is still terrifying to find blood that often.
I bled on and off till 14 weeks, sometimes it was heavy with big clots for days at a time. It was very very stressful and I cried so much during that time. I had 4 ultrasounds all up by 12 weeks as my dr was sure at one stage I had lost the baby.
I am still pregnant with a very active baby boy , I'm almost 30 weeks now so 3/4's of the way there. The bleeding has stopped and scans have showed my baby is very healthy and growing well.
Just keep your feet up, try and keep positive, read positive stories and just know it's much more common than people think to bleed in pregnancy. Many who do go on to have healthy babies.
again and please come here just to vent or for support, it really helped during that time for me to post here because so many ladies understood what I was going through.
I had bleeding at 13 weeks with my last pg and he is fine but it is very scary. My cousin had normal periods for 5 months as did my grandma so it definitely happens. I realise its impossible to not worry but just know that others have been there and it worked out OK.
Thank you everyone for your replies, they have made me feel a lot better about the situation. On a happier note, the bleeding has pretty much stopped, Yay! I'm still going to the Doc today for a blood test to check hormone levels, but i'm feeling a lot more positive now!
