Thanks everyone Went and had the BT this morning so just waiting until the Dr's appt this arv Sorry for TMI butI am confused about what the result is going to bring. The reason being I have been bleeding fairly heavily since Tuesday afternoon, but really only passing clots and watery blood. It sounds strange but not really enough to fill a padf or anything like I have read about when miscarriage occurs. I think I am just using this as my clutching straw though because I have been having cramps and I know that can't be a good sign. It's just a waiting game really. Thank goodness for all of your support and the fact I am ridiculously busy at the moment - the time is passing relatively quickly.

Oh starangelk *fingers crossed for you!*

I have had spotting with this pregnancy too, every two weeks i get a little but is the same muddy colour, no pain or cramps and my boobies are still sore. I also had back pain which worried me a little. I went to the hospital the first time it happened at 7 weeks (as I have lost a little one in the past and it started like this) and the hospital sent me home and told me to get an ultrasound soon. So after many a telephone argument with staff at Symbion and my doctors we finally got in 2 days later and everything was ok. What blew me away was how common bleeding is in pregnancy, I couldn't believe how many women I know that have had this happen and it's all been ok!

We're all thinking about you starangelk!

    Unhappy

Hi guys - back from the Dr and she confirmed I am having a miscarriage, she said it's not a blighted ovum and she explanied but I can't relaly remember what she said. The other day my HCG was 2900 approx and today it was 670 appro. She said I should have heavy bleeding for 7-10 days and then it should sort itself out. I also have to have more bloodwork done to check my levels are falling properly next Tuesday. She said she would prefer not to send me for a scan as it almost seems cruel and if the blood shows my levels continuing to fall rapidly, we might get away with just blood work. Otherwise, I will have to have a scan and then make a decision from there whether to wait or opt for a D & C.

Once again she was lovely and said that it is just an old wives tale that it is more common with first pregnancies and it is just bad luck and can happen to anyone. She said that if it happened again, they would think it was really really bad luck and if it happened a third time, they would investigate. She said that there was really very little chance it would happen twice in a row and I shouldn't think that just because I have had one mc, it will happen again next time or that I am any more likely to.

I am feeling okay, I had resigned myself to this fact with only a small glimmer of hope. Even when I went to the appt this arv I felt pretty calm and was able to work all day without my staff realising anything was up and came back to the office this arv to finish off the day after my appt. Just spoke to my DH then tho and that was difficult. He is understandably disappointed and upset but also seemed extremely relieved that I am going to be okay. For some reason he had in his head that I would be sick from this - so once I explained it all to him he felt a bit better. Makes me realise I have been very very quiet since Sunday when all of this started. My poor DH.

Thanks for your support and kind words and wishes everyon.
