Daisy - those HCG levels are great another lady I know IVF/FET too was told she had blighted ovum (her 2nd) about 7wks because no heartbeat -small embryo was to have D & C She insisted on another u/s -before Curette.When they found a heartbeat but baby was not measuring to dates - embryo was too small they said (as you said IVF is certain). Told not to hold onto much hope ! As this stage the embryo was so tiny only a few mm's so how can they be sure.

She waited it out and just had 12week u/s - baby is growing well and all is okay

Please don't give up yet. The waiting is more heartache but wait till the next scan.I will keep you in my thoughts. [-o< That is all goes well for you.
