Just a question for all of you who have been down the baby making road before. I am 11 weeks pregnant at the moment. I have had 4 scans already due to an earlier miscarriage/lack of symptoms/spotting incident but have seen our little button moving around and has a heart beat of 170 beats per minute. I should been feeling fantastic about this, and I am to a certain degree, it is just that I have this horrible achey lower belly that makes me feel quite ill. It is normally worse when I have been standing at work for a long time or if I feel hungry sometimes it hurts as well. Is it normal to be getting these sort of cramps at 11 weeks? I am so clueless. Can you help. The doctor says all is fine, but I would really like to hear from some of you ladies who have had the same or nearly the same experience as me.
I too had spotting (at 11 weeks, 13 weeks, 14 weeks - a bad one, and 15 weeks), but everything is fine. I had my 18 week ultrasound yesterday & everything is beautiful!!!
As for the cramping, I often had pains like that when I was 11-13 weeks. My doctor said it's normal to get lower abdominal pain (mine was below my belly, but above my undies), as things stretch & grow. I also got pain near my right hip.
I know one of my friends had pains so bad she was curled up on the floor - and her bubba was just perfect! (my pains were never THAT bad).
Now (at 18 weeks), I still get the lower abdominal pain, but only if I've been standing for too long (eg. over an hour).
Abdominal Cramping??
