Scone honey, I can't offer anything concrete to alleviate your concerns, but I can let you know that what you are going through is normal. Motherhood (impending or otherwise) is a worry. I'm not saying this to belittle how you feel, but to remind you of what you already know - the minute you start even thinking about seriously trying to have a baby its like having your heart walk around outside your body. You know from having Jensen that the worry doesn't stop when they are born. And I bet it doesn't even stop when they grow up - every weekend, parents pray their kids won't end up in a fatal car crash, I bet every day there are parents around Australia sending their 25-year-old children off on flights to London worrying about whether they will be ok, or mums who worry about whether their daughter will cope with the divorce she is going through, or dads who worry whether their son (who has just been retrenched) will be able to pay his mortgage.

This is part of life - this worry for those we love. Feel it and experience it - you can't fight it or make it go away. But remember - "Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother".

Sorry youre feeling this way. But if its any concelation, ive never felt any symptoms with all 3 of my pregnancies. Slight tiredness but ive always been tired since having kids anyway! I had a scan yesterday and to be honest, had there not been a wriggling baby on the screen, i wouldnt believe im pregnant. Im sure everything is just fine hun. Hang in there.

Do you have a public hospital with an early pregnancy centre in Brisbane? If so, it may be possible to go in for a scan to reassure yourself. A stethoscope won't pick anything up until about 28 weeks and even then it may not.
