Ok, so it's very early days for me... But since I've gotten pregnant I feel like I just can't get warm enough. I've always been a cold blooded person, but it is twice as bad at the moment.
So am I alone? Hoping others have experienced this too...
I just went and consulted doctor google (I know bad idea) and now I am worried about hypothyroidism... My OB appt is still 2.5 weeks away, do you think I should see my GP and get a blood test JIC or am I just being superparanoid?
Oh yes, when I was pg with DD, I was constantly frozen! So much so that I had to buy a hot water bottle for work, as well as a heater for my feet. Everyone used to say to me enjoy cos soon you'll be hot cos bubs is like an internal heater, but it never happened to me, I was a cold fish to the end
Stay away from Dr Google hun, if you are concerned, see your GP
Heh, my body can't make up it's darn mind - I'll go for ages being freezing cold, never able to get warm enough to the point I get too cold and start vomiting (yay for having preggo nausea triggered by temp) and then a day or so later I'll be roasting hot all the time.
But I do second the suggestion of sack Dr Google and see a real GP if you are at all concerned.
I have been the same! I am so sick of people saying, oh but you're pg, you should be so warm with your in builtbheater, blah blah blah. I have been freezing the whole time! You're not alone!
ooh pick me! The last two times I was sooo hot, but this time I just can't get warm. I did have hypothyroidism last time, but I didn't have the coldness. I guess I won't be complaining soon though when we heat up here.
Miss E Im a cold person normally but each pregnancy it has been a heap worse to the point my cold feet have kept me awake at night, my thyroid function has always been fine just another one of those weird pregnancy symptoms. Cant wait for summer/second trimester. Good luck
Thanks ladies, glad to know I'm not alone... Funny though, you never hear of it being a common preg symptom though. Think I might ask my OB about it when I see him though JIC. I had my thyroid checked after I had DS and it was fine, do doubt there's any issue, doctor googles just got me paranoid!
Yep! I'm the same and still am in the 2nd trimester! I can be wearing 2 pairs of socks and my toes will still be frozen. Cause I work at night, I find myself having to wear another shirt under my work shirt and I'm STILL cold too
