I am having some bleeding again. I had a bleed at 6 weeks which was determined to be from a chorionic heamorrage next to Bean but that all cleared up a few weeks later.
I noticed just the other day that I was starting to get what felt to me light tightenings. It felt like when I had an irritable uterus with Colby.
I spoke to my Midwife as I wasnt sure if it was possible this early in but she said it could be and to just keep an eye on it.
I've been still cramping over the last few days and lastnight I went to the loo and saw a spot of blood. I wiped again and nothing so I wasnt sure where it came from.
I've just returned home from a walk and went to the loo and wiped and there was a LOT of mucousy red and browny blood. I've spoken with my Midwife and she's advised that I just chill and I can go get an u/s done if I want to.
I'm really not sure what to do. I am still cramping. I might just watch the blood loss and if it continues or gets worse I will go to the Hospital.
I had similar bleeding and mild cramping/tenderness too around 6 to 8 weeks. It turned out to be placenta growing and hitting a blood vessel.
But boy, did i WORRY. its NOT fun.
Do SOMETHING- ANYTHING to take your mind away from it. rent some videos if you can and distract yourself.
I also had an ultrasound to calm myself down- which worked.
Emma
might be a good idea to rest and see how u go but deffiantely have the scan done at some point it will ease ur mind and possible find the problem
I had early bleeding with my DD and it eased my mind when I saw the heartbeat
I had bleeding at 17 weeks (similar to what you mentioned - a mixture of bright red blood and brownish mucousy discharge) and all turned out to be fine. To ease your mind, I think it's a good idea to get a scan. It could just be bleeding from the blood vessels in your cervix, or another subchorionic bleed, or a low lying placenta?
I don't have any advice except just try to relax and rest!! Stressing won't help... Just lay on the couch and watch a movie or read a book. Bleeding is scary regardless of whether it is harmful or harmless!!! Keep your chin up and get an US when you can!
Cramping and bleeding are not always a bad sign. Exercise can cause the type of bleeding that you describe. Cramping can be caused by your growing uterus. However a scan may well help to ease your mind. Whatever you decide to do I suggest that you take things very easy for the next few days, lay on the lounge and watch TV.
Thinking of you beautiful Sara. I'm so sorry for your beautiful little Bean. There are no words that can make it better but I will give you a huge silent hug when I finally meet you. Sometimes I think a hug is worth a thousand words.
