Does the doc tell you on the spot your pregnant, if not, how long a wait is normal.

Blood test takes a few hours and some places over night. Have you done a urine test?

The doctor should do a urine test. You'll most likely have to hold your bladder all morning til you go to the dr..

Thanks for responding. I have done a couple & both positive, Im almost 5 weeks late, have all the symptoms, just haven't had the blood test. Will do it on Saturday.

My doc had me "pee on the stick" and then sent me for a blood test.
Did that sat, got results on the Monday.

Hehehe, well thats just the way my GP worked. You had to hold your morning pee til you saw him.
I know about the peeing. Its lovely.
Hope you don't get morning sickness. Its not pleasant.

I didn't really get it in the morning, but usually after tea sometime at night.

I've never had a blood test or urine test to confirm (apart from my POAS), my doctors just sent me for my antenatal bloods!

charlotte : i couldnt imagne holding first morning wee's anymore! if i dont get up and do one straight away i would burst!

my blood test results were always the next day (we cant get blood taken on weekends here)

5 weeks late & a couple of bfp's is a pretty good sign!! good luck!

I was only about 6 weeks when I went to the dr. But I was sitting right next to the water cooler and the receptionist filled up the kettle right next to me.
And the dr was running late, as usual.
And we had to travel 35kms to the dr, as I didn't want to go to the dr here in town (same dr, tho) because I didn't want anyone to know I was pregnant.

Man, I was BURSTING!!
