i def have had break outs, i actually got them more in 2nd tri than 1st and i found changing skin care products helped thiugh it is all hormonal so not a lot you can do for it. try steaming you face every now and then (say 1 or 2 times per week) to decongest the pores and use a good toner and light moisturiser... i have been using dr hauschka products and they help me, but i guess all our skin is diff so you may find something else better.
it was also recommended to me to chg my pillow cases more often (like 2 times per week) as that can help.... we produce more oil etc so this can help i think (it has helped me)

I'm finding I have quiet dry skin probably due to the winter weather so I'm moisturising more but I'm sure the pimples are hormonal as I used to get the same thing just less intense right before af, they're just painful lumps deep under the skin. I might try steaming my face though that might open the poors and bring them to the surface more so thanks

Pimples are definitely my problem right now. Aside from belly growing bigger, I think one definite sign people could tell I am different is my breakout. Yes, they are hard to cover with makeup. In fact, I found that makeup worsen the effect. I've been changing products and it's been helping. I remember telling myself that after my first trimester, my outbreak would lessen. Guess what (don't mean to disappoint you), but I have worst outbreak now being in my second trimester. Sad thing is there's very minimal things we could do being pregnant, but i find that washing my face with water in between helps to get rid of the extra oil we produce. Also, if you drink lots of water, it helps to hydrate and apparently helps too! Meanwhile, just keep your face clean and stay away from clogging makeup!

well this is the first time I've had major break outs from pgcy hormones. I feel horrid. I have one right now on the side of my jaw that is just so sore and it feels huge. They are a bad symptom of pgcy. But it will all be worth it once the bubs are here

Its nice to know i'm not the only one, I can't leave the house without makeup these days because of the pimples! And here i was thinking that being pregnant will make my skin "glow"!! I was given some cream from a skin specialist to try the other day - fingers crossed it makes a difference.

    Hey there

This is exactly what I have been getting! At 31, I had stopped getting pimples and rarely had hormonal breakouts even. Since I became pregnant, I have had these large blind ones on my jaw line that take forever to go away. I have a new one this am!
I use good quality skin care but just know that it is purely hormonal!! If you come up with any miracle cures let us know!

yep, im gettin heaps of pimples too... used to get a couple but got heaps now, and normal face cleaning routine is not working lol...
as yuk as this might sound... i used toothpaste on the pimples a few nights ago, woke up in the morn, and they all had heads on them so i could squeeze em lol... yuk i kno but it stops them from hurting! and 2day, they are stil there a bit but not sore!

    You poor thing!

I think most of us can probably relate to the unpredictable skin that comes with pg. To battle my skin woes I try and use natural, soothing skin care products which don't have a high acidic level or have any perfumes in them, although I am definitely still prone to the odd break-out. Try cleansing and moisturising in both the morning and at night, to keep your skin clean and nourished.
Try rubbing ice on blind pimples, as this can sometimes take the 'redness' out of them. It sounds quite strange, but I have a friend who swears by it.

Apart from that, I just tried to focus on the little miracle that was forming inside me, and tried not to think about the toll that it was taking on my complexion. (easier said than done. . ):P
