Question Can I sleep on my stomach??

I have always slept on my stomach and find it really difficult to get to sleep any other way. Last night I promised myself that I wouldn't sleep on my stomach all night in an attempt to break the habit. I had the worst night sleep which doesn't help when I'm struggling with fatigue and nausea as it is.
Is it bad to be sleeping on my stomach this early in the pregnancy? Hopefully I will reach the stage where it is just physically impossible. Any ideas would be very appreciated.

    Hi Janie
You can sleep on your stomach. Later in your pregnancy it will be too uncomfortable to sleep on your stomach but you may be able to surround yourself with pillows and find a comfy position

I still slept partially on my stomach for a little while, but never worried, because I always woke up on my side.

Right now I would love to plonk completely on my stomach but Physically can't.

I had a massage on a special pregnancy bed about 2 weeks ago now, and that was fine, yet lots of other people don't know how I managed to do that at 36 weeks.

I have found that if my body is leaning too far over onto my tummy, I get kicked until I move.

i had one mw tell me she slept on her tummy the entire pregnancy!
i did until i started showing and it was uncomfy.
1st trimester is usually fine as bub is protected by your pubic bone/ pelvis

I've heard its ok to sleep on tum until it feels uncomfortable... Apparently there is a "best side" position (can't remember which side though!) to sleep on to optimise oxygyn flow to baby I think.

Yep, i slept on my tum with both pg till close to the end. I have a body pillow and a curvey pillow and towards the end i just layed on my side with my leg over one of them and found it really comfy! I hope you have a H&H pg.CONGRATS!
