    cervix at 10 weeks

Hi just wondering if anyone can tell me how a cervix should feel at 10weeks?
I'm spotting a bit still from a bleed nearly two weeks ago, it's brown so I'm not *too worried*.
But I noticed that my cervix is very low and hard.
    Is this 'normal'?

hard is normal. but it changes. have you had a vaginal birth before?
there is a wesite called my beautiful cervix that shows photos of cervixs of different women at different stages of life.

sorry on my phone its quick and short. Spock is making it tricky =p

    TT40 - I haven't given birth... Yet!
I have seen the web site but only seems to have non pregnant subjects.

Maybe if there is a midwife on BellyBelly they can explain?

Mine was still quite low till after 12 weeks in second pregnancy, which I know as I was inserting pessaries joy of joys.
I can't tell you what's normal, however. Hope all is well.

ok, im on my computer now and Spock is asleep. and I'm a midwife

ok, so 'normal' is hard, kind of like the end of your nose. when you cervix changes - that is it changes prior to dilation, it becomes soft like your lips. can't tell you if it is lower than 'normal' without checking myself. but it sounds good.

there are pg women on that website.

also, just want to throw it out there to make sure you wash your hands before checking etc...=)
