You usually have the blood test and then the nuchal translucency scan. However this pregnancy I had the test done at the fetal medicine unit at a major womens and childrens hospital and they do the blood test the same day as the scan. I have never ever heard of the bloods being done 2 weeks later, definately wouldn't have thought they would give a very good result. With D angel we had bloods then scan and got the results less than 3 hours later, with this baby we got the results the next day.
I am glad you have changed doctors, at least you might feel more confident with the new one
pregpan, maybe the first result you got given was your risk based on age alone, the second result may have been the integrated result. Of course there is also every possibility your first GP didn't know what the hell he was talking about
