Hi, my underactive thyroid was diagnosed when had my first pregnancy confirmed at the doctor, got the thyroid meds sorted out and had a fantastic pregnancy and no issues with DD (now 17 months) at all, levels were monitored and adjusted throughout the pregnancy but was very easy. My thyroid had been checked prior to becoming pregnant and was a little low in the range so it wasn't until I got pregnant and needed to produce more thyroid that it actually showed in my levels, and at that five week point they were really horrific. I will always have to take thyroid meds but have had zero symptoms - I never look up anything to do with thyroid on Google because there is such a variety of conditions associated with it and everyone does react differently - my sister and I both have Hashimotos (so an autoimmune which attacks thyroid hormone that you produce) but neither of us have ever shown any symptoms normally associated with low thyroid.
