9/10 weeks was when I had the worst headaches... Im getting one just remebering how bad they were! Warm heat packs on the back of my neck & forehead helped me & A new neck pilliow, not sure about deep heat but Ive used voltaren a couple of times.
I remember this was asked years ago, but I don't think that thread would still be around now. But the general concensus was that even though it says not to use deep heat during pg, googling their site for info basically said that they recommended it not be used simply because it hadn't been tested and found unsafe, so they were covering their backsides by saying not to use it. Alan the midwife also said it should be OK to use.
Hi, not sure if you are still having problems, but when I was preg with my second DS I got really bad sciatica and my GP prescribed methyl salicylate, which is the active ingredient in Deep Heat type creams, worked winders for me, mind you this was 21 yrs ago
I used tiger balm during most of my pregnancies. The Dr & chemist both said it was ok even though it says not recommended during pregnancy. Because of the pain I was in, something was better than nothing and we only used small amounts at a time.
(Sent from my phone, so I apologise if it makes no sense.)
