Early scan issues - Has this happened to you?

OK ladies, I want to thank you ALL for your support. My doctor said it is 99% an unviable pregnancy but ordered bloods. I had to wait all arvo as a stuff up with pathology but after telling family and booking a d&c for the morning, he called me back and said:

"umm shannon, your results are interesting. Your Beta HcG on friday was 1812 and today is over 7000!!!!!!"
I almost fell on the floor with happiness!!

You girls all gave me hope and love and i thank you all for your well wishes. I am 5 weeks 4 days
I have more bloods friday and another scan monday or tuesday.
Today is mine and my husbands 3rd year wedding anniversery and what a way for it to end xxx
That's great news Shan! And Happy Anniversary!

    Awesome news!! Stick, bubba, stick!!

Must say, I think it's pretty off that they would tell you it's an unviable pregnancy without first waiting a week or two for a follow up scan. Can only imagine the afternoon you've had waiting for the BT results.

    Happy Anniversary!

So glad for my gut instinct

That's great news Shan! I hope you are just not as far along as you thought and your next scan shows a healthy little bubba. What day is your scan, how far along should you be?

    Hi Ladies,
After all the crap happening on wednesday, I have decided to put in a complaint in to MDI in my home town. I am just still so angry about them and also my GP for not even waiting to do bloods again and how the senior ultrasound guy not even bothering to come in and tell me, or suggest a scan later on. Really makes me wonder how experienced these people are. Do I just sound petty or would you ladies do the same?

Oh my goodness! I have just seen your thread.... Congratulations!!! What wonderful news for you but what a shambles it has been for you. I would definitely be making a complaint. As the other girls have said 4-6 weeks is very early and you really can't see a lot. I'm so glad that you got another opinion and that they did bloods for you. That is generally the best way to tell. Let us know how you go!

You must complain! You were very very lucky and treated terribly.
I'm 5wks3 days and I KNOW whatever my doc sees at scan 5wks6days she will think positively about til all avenues are exhausted.
Your doc needs to stop and think before he aborts any wanted viable babies.
