Hi. i thought I was 8w 5d, and had a dating scan today. The scan showed 5w5d, just a sac, too early for a baby. How can I be 3 weeks out? My last period was on 4th July (always irrregular), and got a positive test on Aug 11. Can anyone help?? Worried.
If you are irregular - you can ovulate much later. Are you getting a repeat scan? Between 6 and 7 weeks, you can see a heartbeat, that would clear a few things up for you
Thankyou, yes after thinking about it, I think what's happened is my doctor has gone of my LMP. I have only had one period since my 9 month old baby, and prior to that had more like a 40 day cycle. I had an implantation bleed on Aug 8 & 9, with a faint positive on he 11th then much darker a week later. So going off that, maybe 5w 5d is right......I'll ask for another scan to ease my mind.
when i went for wat i thought was my 12 week scan i was told i was only 10 weeks!
so i was 2 weeks out but i still dont think its right.
but thats another story lol.
