    It Feels Like Period Pain

    Hi everyone,

Every now and again, and a fair bit this afternoon (for the past 1/2 hr), I've been getting pains that remind me a lot of period pain. Is this normal at 5 and a bit weeks?

Very very normal. The pains will come and go. Don't worry about it.

You will get pains on and off your whole pregnancy...its just the name of the game!

But at any stage you feel uncomfortable or just not right, id suggest you get it checked out. Goodluck with your pregnancy.

Yep very normal...I got AF type pains for the first 3 months of my first pregnancy at about the same time I would have gotten AF as if I was not pregnant...weird but that is the wonders of pregnancy.

    All the best

A few days ago I went through the exact same type of pain. There was no bleeding but was so strong I got it checked out. All was fine. My gp has said that no bleeding usually means it's fine, but if you lose your pg symptoms then you may want to get it checked out (which is what happened).
There's no harm in calling your dr if you're concerned though ...
