Hi there, as the title says this is my first pregnancy and I am so worried and scared! My first scan is on Monday to check the due date, I've done 2 home pregnancy tests and a blood test all coming back positive but I don't feel pregnant, my doctor says I may be 5-10 weeks already as I also have PCOS and can't remember my last period. I don't feel any different! I'm so worried that the first scan will show that there is nothing in my belly, my partner already talks to my belly. Do you have any advice that may put my mind at ease?
Congratulations!!! So far I've not found anything to put my mind at ease lol welcome to motherhood I've always worried about my babies , just take it one day at a time and try to enjoy , good luck with ur scan in Monday I always held my breath until I could see a heartbeat and until I was 20wks and looking pg and feeling bubba I didn't feel pregnant except for morning sickness
Welcome to BB and congratulations on your pregnancy. I was much the same with my first, can completely relate to how you're feeling I'm not sure on how to link but please feel welcome to join a Belly Buddies group once you have a due date, I found mine to be a great comfort as we were all going through the same emotions etc.
I'm pregnant with my first too. I can totally relate to freaking out! I'm going to try and go with the "day at a time" advice, but it's so exciting and terrifying all at once that it's hard to be patient.
Congratulations! It is perfectly normal to feel that way. I'm pregnant with my 2nd, and had a hard time believing I was really pregnant this time too - after 3 pregnancy tests, and a blood test! But seeing the little critter squirming around on the ultrasound put my mind to rest. I found that the wait for the ultrasound was the longest 3 weeks ever, so can understand. All I can say is take each day as it comes, and enjoy your pregnancy. Xxx
Babychotu how did you go?
This is number 3 for me and I reckon it gets worse! You are more aware of all the things that can happen...
But you just have to not do anything silly (the obvious no nos) and take it easy.
After you see the heartbeat it takes the chance of something going wrong down to 2%
That is helping me this time after seeing a heartbeat at 5wks 6days
