first scan

we have our U/S in just over an hour. im soo excited but worried something maybe wrong (i dont think it is...but my DF is a wee bit pessamisic)

i cant wait to hear the heart beat. thats what i lookforward to. the part i dont...is drinking a LT of water and HOLDIING....lord help me if i sneeze! im just so...over the moon about it.

how have you laides handled the one LT of water??

I accidentally went to the toilet just before my appointment forgetting all about it. I had to drink another 1L and sit there until they got a good enough image - the good thing is that I got a looooooong look at my bubs while the water flowed back into my system.

Good luck and I'm sure everything will be fine. I remember having the same fear the first time around.....

we only have to drink 300mls of water and make sure we drink it hour before appointment,but that is bad enough so my heart goes out to you all that have to do a litre,my next scan 27th Aug and the big sex one hopefully

well we had our scan. we have a baby who is doing a head stand. but it put us at 14 weeks! i was a week and a day out heh. but we saw blip. and i was sooo happy! so was DF. i cant belive just how real this all is...i guess in a few months i'll feel the movement!

Thats great news, i hope they let you keep the films.
I hated the water thing too, i was nearly crying i needed to go so bad and it hurt. The guy let me go and empty half my bladder but i was so scared that i wasnt going to be able to stop peeing. lol

congratulations! glad your scan went well! its such an awesome part of the whole pregnancy thing.!

i think i will just drink most of 1 litre and closer to the end of the hour than in the beginning of the hour you are meant to drink it. (i know what you mean about worrying about not being able to stop hehe)
