Just remember you can always say no!
If you don't want dildocam (or any other procedure) it's your right to ask for more info, ask for alternatives, and to just say no if you don;'t want a procedure done.

The internal scan (AKA dildocam) is usually used in early pregnancy when it is more difficult to see the itty bitty little person - particularly if you have a retroverted (tilted backwards) uterus. It is used to get the closest image, and therefore the most detail for measurements etc, possible. After about 10 weeks there should be no reason for an internal scan.

Dildocam.... LOVE IT! haha hilarious!!
I've had it done twice, and it's really not that uncomfortable - lots a lube and a gentle technician.
