So, it is not like I am a hardcore exerciser or anything!! But I have been running about once a week for a while - just under 4K, but really slowly (cos that's just how I run!) and then a couple of weeks ago upped it to twice a week as my brother was going to come running with me on a week night.

I know pretty much everywhere says jogging is fine in preg as long as you take it easy and listen to your body, although I did uncover one study back in 2007 I think which said it could increase chances of mc (although there was also some criticism about the credibility of the study.)

In my mind I think - if you are not meant to get overheated (avoid hot baths etc), then surely this should apply to running, cos I always come home with a red face and hot and sweaty etc despite hardly gunning it.

So I'm tempted to quit, and walk instead. But I really want to be as fit as I can be for this pregnancy and birth - I felt quite unfit with ds2 and I didn't particularly like my birth experience with him (which may have had nothing to do with that but somehow is linked in my mind, also in dh's mind.)

Also I feel bad about fobbing off my 2 separate running-buddies with lame excuses about why I can't run anymore (not that this will influence my decision of course)

Anyway, I know what google says about it, but what would you do?
