Rice??
You're kidding right? Ok possibly out of a rice cooker that'd been kept going all day (ie. Food court chinese type rice) maybe not so good but there's no reason that I can see to avoid freshly cooked rice at home or anything.
Mind you, I am missing my runny eggs. What I wouldn't give for a couple of nice soft boiled eggs with toast soldiers....
CK, your so mean lol. I want soft eggs now.
I'm sorry!!!!
I just want them. And DH won't let me have them.
rice is fine as long as iti is fresh and served above 65 degrees
so you have to make sure you get it from somewhere that has good hygiene practices and correct temps
best to stay away from food court baine maries for the same reasons!!

Rice is one of the highest risk foods for food poisoning (even when not pregnant) including listeria, due to its high water content. Thus the risk with lettuces also.
Bacteria breed with moisture, so you should NEVER reheat rice more than twice, or eat it more than 48 hours after it is first cooked.
Rice also has a high risk status due to how rice is processed, stored and transported and often not washed before cooking.
I would also like to point out that listeria is NOT "killed" at low temperatures, at all, it simply does not grow at those temperatures, but it will not remove/kill the bacteria that may be already present.[/COLOR]
