    Good 'drink' over christmas

I went to my office christmas party last week and had to decide what i was going to do about drinking well actually not drinking.

I ended up drinking soda water with lime cordial in a champange glass which tastes nice and even fooled the couple of people who KNOW im pg . One made a comment that I was drinking more than her and the other just asked what i was drinking as it looked like champange but she knew i wouldn't be. It tastes much better than any of that fake champange and looks the same.

great idea, I just sat up drinking lemon squashes all night at mine, then spent the entire night up going to the loo.

I think it's the first time I have gone to a Christmas party and not had some sort of hangover the next day, bonus

there is a really nice apple and raspberry cider. not sure the brand, I had it at a chrismtas dinner the other night. I will have one celebratory champagne for the day, then onto the cider for me.

Otherwise, there are some reall nice non alcoholic punches you can make which still make you feel like you are having a drink!

i used to drink LL&B's when i wanted to feel social. There's also a really nice cheap apple cider i like to drink, its call appletiser and you can get it from any supermarket. Really yummy... Those non alco champers, like Maison always used to give me headaches when i drank them.

A nice festive one if you're at home. Get a tub of wildberry sorbet (you can use tropical but the pink berry colour is nice for christmas). Pre-ball it into small balls using a melon baller and refreeze. Then serve, 2-3 balls in a champagne flute with your choice of lemonade/soda/champagne.
(They call this a "Marydean Delight" in the TTC 1-6 thread)!!
