I've just been into Kookai at lunch time and bought 3 great tops which will hide my little pot until it's big enough for maternity clothes. i'm only 9.5weeks PG, but my tummy is already a little bigger, and all my normal clothes just look funny... i'm way off wearing maternity clothes yet, but these tops will be nice and flattering in the mean time. Just thought i'd post to let you all know in case anyone is looking for some in-between casual tops...
Hi, I didnt even think to look in Kookai for some tops! I found a great shop that I absolutely LOVE! Its called Mother & Me .. they do clothes that can be worn before, during and after prgncy because all the tops have a stretch to them. I've been wearing them for a few weeks now and cant wait to fill them with a preggy belly!
mum2be - I've been going to the one at karrinyup shopping centre. I think there is on in Joondalup too.. Just done a search and other shops are in Booragoon and Perth City. I think that the clothes were reasonably priced. I got my tops for about $60, and thats the same I would spend on any other top so I didnt mind the price.
Caro - I think there is a RIPE around some where in Perth, dont know where tho.
I'm another HUGE Kooki wearer...their tops are long, stretchy and just fit the preggy belly soooooo well. Very comfy too. They have a huge range aroung the $35 mark. I LOVE them
There's a Mother & Me in the city and also one at Garden City. I agree Veronica - its a great shop. I've got a bit of stuff from Ripe too and the lady there is really helpful.
Also, a Mother & Me that's not (called something differnt but the same stuff) that is at Harbour Town upstairs - across from Pumpkin Patch which makes for a very very dangerous shopping expedition!!!
Sounds like Frou Frou is right up your alley - funky clothes that fit the pregnant and non-pregnant figure! That is, the same item looks great whether you are preggers or not - clever styling and design They are online, too, and are having a clearance at their Brighton store in Melb...
Aalina this is a thread from 4 years ago so its probably not current anyway?! Even if everyone does have their own body structure they wont know until they go and have a look.....
If you dont feel comfortable in normal size clothes its doesnt mean you have to wear maternity clothes, it just means you need to find something you feel more comfortable in!
