    hcg levels too high?

Well, I've found something else to be worried over!

As I got preg 6 weeks after my miscarriage I was anxious to monitor the hcg and see what the levels were doing this time. I was stoked that the levels were high and were rising rapidly. Of course, now I've done a bit more research and am worried that the levels are TOO high

    My levels were:

    14dpo - 185 (had bleeding)
    4w2d - 560
    5w1d - 8344 (median for 5w is around 1400)

I know high hcg can be associated with twins, or molar preg, or downs etc, or of course can be normal preg as well.

Maybe I should just ban myself from the internet?

Has anyone else had above-average hcg levels, and what did it end up meaning for you?

    Thanks xx

My HCG this pregnancy was 8900+ at 4 weeks 5 days - See ticker below to find out what that meant hehe - I'm sure all is well, high HCG is a much better sign than low! Usually indicates a healthy, strong pregnancy, stop stressing - Easier said than done I know, but you're not doing yourself or bub any favours... Good luck!! xox

    Yeah, what Alicia said!

I would definately ban yourself from google - not from BB though

TRY and enjoy your pregnancy, stressing was never good for anyone. xxx

    Hi smamfa,
Sorry to hear you are worried. Can you request an early scan?

Just fyi my hcg levels were:

    HCG at 15dpo 203 (4w1d)
    HCG at 19dpo 1526 (4w5d)
5 week scan: showing two sacs, and all going well so far.

Sending you lots of sticky vibes and best wishes.

Yep, I'd ban yourself from Google too. It doesn't have a degree in medicine

It all sounds very healthy Smamfa I know it is hard, but relax and enjoy the journey. You seem to have a very sticky little one there.
    Take care

Alicia - oh thanks your post made me feel a lot better! I know some people just have higher hcg and I am hoping that is me too. Best of luck with the rest of your pregancy!

Heaven - thanks I read your thread, you sounded so much like me in the beginning! Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl.

Baby Dreamtime - Yeah, I am thinking about requesting a scan, I was going to leave it until just before 9w when i see my Ob for the first time, but I don't know that I can wait afterall. Wow - twins! Congratulations!!

Hehe, thanks ubba, teagz & pish, I might need a good :slaparoundwithfish: to settle me down
