Does anyone know what the baby's heart rate should be at around six weeks? I'm not even six weeks pg and the ultrasound showed that the heart rate was 140bpm is that normal? I read somewhere that 100bpm is the norm for six weeks.

That's quite normal I think it can be from 100 to 160 is the normal range maybe higher not quite sure. But that sounds very good.

on the website I was just reading sparkles it suggested that at 6- 7 weeks a heartbeat can first be detected and that for under 6 - 7 weeks its 90-110 and from 7 weeks on 110 -200 as the baby matures.

Both my dd & this little one were both 175 at my 8 week scan..

I had a scan at 6w +3, and the heart rate was 140bpm

It sounds perfectly normal to me sparkles... as it can vary by quite a bit...

I had a scan during the week and it was 113bpm. Am sure yours is normal.
