I don't know much about pre eclampsia, I presumed it usually affected women later in pregnancy. I hope the asprin brings it down for you!
At my 10wk appointment my BP was 147/95 which is extremely high for me and I had high levels of protein in my urine. I had pre eclampsia with my last pregnancy from 33wks and was finally induced at 38+5 after it reached 160/110 even on meds. I am very worried about having PE again, esp seeing as my BP has skyrocketed so early. My OBGYN has put me on 1 asprin a day and strict instructions to rest up (hard when you have a mobile 9mth old to take care of) but I keep panicking thinking of everything that could go wrong.
Is it unusual to see signs of PE so early?
Thankgod this is my last pregnancy, I couldnt take another round of this![]()

Anna I hope it doesnt develope into pre eclampsia.I had PE with my twins although it didnt develop until very late in my pregnancy. My BP was still high after and I was on oxeprenol (sp?) for about 6 months until it went down.My renal specialist said next pregnancy I would have to go onto meds as soon as the pregnancy is confirmed which would be taken up to 30 weeks gestation. From what I have read I've not heard of anyone having PE so early in a pregnancy
I know its hard but do try to rest as much as you can.I hope the asprin helps you in some way.![]()
