This is mostly due to my paranoia but I really doubt if this pregnancy is legit... (I know this must sound insane) But I'm just so worried that I'll get to my ultrasound appointment and they tell me it's only a phantom pregnancy.
I was wondering if there was any way to really tell?
I took three [urine/home] pregnancy tests during the week of my first missed period, all were positive but when I saw my doctor, she didn't take any blood tests to confirm....
I had severe fatigue from conception to about 8 or so weeks.
I didn't get sickness until my eighth week, and even then it was just feeling nauseous in the mornings and only physical sickness once... But in the past week I've thrown up three times - which I was weirdly happy about.
I've had quite a lot of thick white discharge but no bleeds whatsoever and my breasts haven't changed at all.
Another reason I'm getting worried is because I had a pregnancy scare in the past and it caused quite a lot of problems with my partner of the time (father to this child). Plus a lot more people know about this one because I'm obviously a lot more certain and it's gotten further. It's just gonna cause loads of problems if this turns out to be a ghost pregnancy, and seeing how I'm not with the father anymore, it's highly likely that he'll believe I've lied...
Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated!
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Firstly, it's normal to feel the way you do. I remember being convinced that I was going to have my ultrasound & there would be nothing there. I didn't even feel happy about my pregnancy until I had seen my DS for myself at that scan. I was so sure there would be a problem I even said to my DH that morning "this is it, I won't be a Mum after today"!
As for not having a blood test - neither did I. The GP didn't even do another wee test as they said todays home pregnancy tests are so accurate, there is no need. So I'm sure it's the same in the UK!
Remember every pregnancy is different & everyone's symptoms are different. I never vomited, only got car sick! Sounds like you're pregnant to me!
I guess we all deep inside doubt ourselves just to prepare to be told the worst. I was like that, while i saw a blob at my 6 week scan i didnt believe it was a baby until my 12 week scan when i saw my baby.
My boobs changed further along, i did get darker veins but they didnt darken in colour until about 20 odd weeks.
As for feeling sick, i had awful awful morning sickness but some women dont experience much or even at all.
And as for the blood test some doctors are convinced women are pregnant by the home tests. Because you had more than one positive thats enough confirmation for them. I only got a blood test because it was really early days.
Sounds like you are pregnant to me. Not everyone gets morning sickness. I never really got sick in all four of my pregnancies. I will feel a little bit of nausea sometimes, but only ever vomitted once or twice the whole pregnancy.
If you really are worried go back to the GP and ask for a blood test to confirm it. They have to give you one of you ask for it.
I feel the same way... I dont know why, dont remember feeling this way with when pregnant with the winkies, I think its just coz I am not as sick as I was with them, dont get me wrong I still have days where I am sick but its nothing like it was with the others... I have had scan at 8 weeks and there was a baby in there, I saw the HB, but still for some reason it doesnt feel " real" I think we are just been worry worts, I am sure your pregnant you sound like you have all the right signs, sit back and enjoy seeing your little one on screen, when you have your U/S...
It sounds as if you are pregnant. I'm not sure when your scan is but if you are really worried go to your doc and ask for bloods to be taken, it will put your mind at ease.
I agree with Chody47, ask to have bloods taken!
Even after I had 3 positive HPT's, 2 blood tests I still didn't believe it! lol... I had to ask for an ultrasound to make it real for me!
I didn't vomit either, just fet sick and very tired!! I would say you are pregnant darling!! If in doubt, don't fee silly asking for bloods or whatever you need to confirm it!!!
i think congrats is in order hunni i know its hard to believe i was trying for around a year an thought i would never happen then when it did i was like i cant be!! i did 3 tests LOL its a lil strange your doc didnt send you for blood test tho it helps reassure you but HPT are VERY VERY rearly wrong!! id go back to the GP an ask to have a blood test an maybe even a scan if your over 8 weeks so you can see whats going on an hear the HB congrats again hunni keep us posted xx
