I know, I know. I had this with DS, not so much with DD, but I'm 8 weeks pregnant with Number 3 and once again I seem to have morphed into a lizard overnight (wonder if it's another boy???)

My skin is sooooo dry and itchy and I've just been thinking about re-starting the regime I devised when I was pregnant with DS.

Go to the chemist and get yourself some skin friendly body wash (eg Hamilton, Aveeno, QV... - in my experience Alpha Keri foams up a little more and I don't find it as soothing, and Cetaphil doesn't seem to be as effective a cleanser. I'm not a fan of Dermaveen myself, just don't like it, but that's my preference).

Have short warm, not hot showers.

Once or twice a week soak in the bath with some bath oil (see brands above). Warm, not hot bath. Leaves the bath horribly greasy but your skin will feel lovely.

Keep moisturising. I don't find sorbolene very moisturising to be honest, maybe try something else. Once again, I like pharmacy brands.

And don't underrate this - change your laundry powder or detergent straight away to a non-phosphate/sensitive skin formula such as Bio-Zet, Amolin. If you already use one that you think is good for sensitive skin, try another one. I tried Eco-Store which is supposed to be fabulous but my DH, DD and DS all had big eczema breakouts with this, so it can be trial and error.

Drink extra water.

You may also want to consider a fish oil supplement.

Get yourself a pharmacy reward card...you'll spend a fortune over the next few months LOL.
