Maybe the placenta attaching?
I had a perigestational bleed but I know sometimes they call it a different name.
Congrats on being pg Sarah! Hope you have a h&h 9 months

Ok lovelies I am wondering if anyone else has had something similar to this reported on their ultrasound & what on earth it means.I've had some pink discharge & some cramping so had the ultrasound this morning. The baby is measuring 8 weeks 3 days so I'm figuring it's way to late to be an actual implantation bleed so it doesn't make sense to me at all. I have to go back to the dr tomorrow & have been told to be on rest for the next few days, but wondered in the meantime if anyone has had the same.implantation bleed present along the right anterior margin of the gestational sac.

Could they mean a subchorionic haemmhorage?
Could be the placenta or old blood from implantation?
At exactly 11 weeks I had a bright red woosh of blood and I went straight to the u/s place and then my OB called me and said it looked like it came from the implantation site. I didn't have any cramps/pain or discomfort. Just went for a pee and this blood came out. I literally pooed my pants but all was good. GL hun but it should be all fine.
The doctor i had the other night said sometimes when the baby implants itself it can go quite deep and create a sort of haemerrage (sp?) that can bleed randomly. Maybe thats what it means by implantation bleeding..![]()
Hi Sarah
Try not to worry hun. This sounds like they have seen some evidence of a bleed. Small bleeds at around 8 weeks is not unknown. In most cases we do not really know the cause and the pregnancy progresses normally. Resting for the next few days is a good idea.
