    Loss of pregnancy symptoms

I am 9 weeks pregnant today and over the last couple of weeks my pregnancy symptoms have gradually vanished. I was feeling nausea every day week 6-7, have had very sore nipples up until the last few days, although my boobs are still huge. Had an USS at 6 weeks which showed normal growth and heart beat. I know that hormones fluctuate and come in waves rather than constantly, i'm sure it's just something different for me to panic about!

I haven't had any cramping, spotting or bleeding, just would like to know whether anyone else has had this happen to them. I know that it can be a sign of a missed miscarriage, I am trying to resist the urge to contact the GP go and see them, if I did that every time I had a panic I would be declaring bankruptcy by the time the baby is born!

I'm not really sure hun. Sorry.
It could be quite normal, but my symptoms including ms went on throughout almost my whole pregnancies. So I'm different to the normal, you could be too

There is nothing wrong with talking to your doctor if you are worried.

You are right that it can indicate a missed miscarriage, but it could also just be that your early symptoms are subsiding.

I only had strong symptoms from 7-9 weeks when pg with DS2, they disappeared at 9 weeks and everything was fine

If you are really concerned, do go and see your Dr for peace of mind.

    Hi Shonalouise

I can totally identify with your concerns! Generally my symptoms come and go, but it has happened to me twice that I felt that ALL symptoms disappeared at once.

The first time was at about 8.5 weeks. I had been having ever increasing nausea and exhaustion, etc and suddenly I woke up one morning feeling completely fabulous - all negative symptoms completely gone. Even my boobs seemed smaller. I also had a tiny bit of brown spotting so of course was in a panic. After worrying for a few days, I moved my first OB appointment a couple of days earlier - and all was fine. I was SO convinced it was a missed miscarriage, I was in shock that all was fine.

The second time was at 16.5 weeks. This time, my longer term preg symptoms (stretching feeling in lower pelvis, dizziness, and tiredness) disappeared overnight. I got very worried again, so much so that I hired a fetal heartbeat doppler - like you, I thought I can't be running off to the GP or OB each time I feel concerned! I did keep in mind that it can be very hard to find the heartbeat, so if I couldn't find it, I wasn't going to jump off a bridge iykwim - but fortunately I found it quickly. Now I listen every couple of days

When it happened the first time I googled a lot, and found websites where literally scores of women were saying "Yep, that happened to me too!" and really only a tiny fraction of those said "and it turned out to be a missed miscarriage". So I knew it was a common fear that most women have, but also it?s up to you how you deal with it. There is nothing wrong with seeking confirmation, or hiring the doppler (you'll need to wait another month or two for that), but it can help to know that such fears are to be expected.

    Have a great pregnancy xo

    It's happened to me too.

    Hi ShonaLouise

I have just hit 10 weeks and am starting to feel normal again. I'm feeling relaxed about it particularly as, like you, my boobs are still big!
