Is it just me or is anyone else having problems sleeping?
I have no problem going to sleep but usally have to get up for a wee between 2 - 5 times a night. Around 2 - 4 am I find I just cannot go back to sleep. Brain starts thinking about stuff and I cant switch off. Last night I read my book from 11.30pm to 2.30am, had to get up to DD at 4am for 5 mins, went back to bed and only managed to sleep until 7am (which is late for me).
I didnt get insomnia til my 3rd trimester last time, what's going on???
Oh Netty, I am right there with you! I am fine during the day and when DH is home on the weekend I even get a very nice nanna nap in the afternoon. But once in bed at night, even without a nap in the day, I am soooo tired but cant get to sleep , then I wake up at 3 to go to the dunny and cant get back to sleep with worrying about the baby and what might go wrong.
I am really trying to focus on something postive in the night but not working at the moment. Are you also getting strange dreams? Mine are vivid and a bit scary too!
You girls are all further along than me -- when did your insomnia start? I'm not quite 5 weeks and I've had it since just before my BFP. I am desperately tired during the day and usually fall asleep at around 8pm, 9pm at the latest, but then I'm awake again around 2-4. Our alarm goes off at 5am, so by the time I fall back asleep I can't wake up again. It's SO frustrating! I have NEVER had problems sleeping, and have only ever heard of insomnia in the last trimester. No strange dreams yet though, but I always have very clear dreams...
I have had it from very early this time too. I am starting to have some good nights but still cant sleep for more than 4 or 5 hours. And when I remember them, very vivid dreams too.
Strange... am convinced it's a boy this time
I had it so bad last pregnancy, from early on too. What I find is some exercise during the day helps, slow down the fluid intake towards bed, and then Brauer's Insomia Relief (a homeopathic spray, got it from my health food store, I was skeptical, but it seems to work!) and a bit of self discipline in trying not to let my thoughts race - listening to music helped with that, I'd just stick some earphones in.
i have suffered from insomnia off and on through the whole pregnancy - seems to be getting worse now. i'm so very OVER waking up in the early hours for a loo stop and then not being able to sleep. even worse when DH is snoring his box off beside me!
Hi Guys, Isn't it the pits.
I had it with my other two pregnancys but we are talking 11 and 7 years ago and until it started again I had forgotten. I think mine is a combination of things. Loo stops, sore lower back and other half snoring!!
