Hi Guys,
Wondering if i could have some advice, since no one around me knows anything of the sort ! Long winded story................
I am currently just over 5 weeks pregnant, i have PCOS, although it doesn't seem to be a problem conceiving as such, just supporting the pregnancy.
A bit of back ground... i miscarried in May last year and then fell pregnant again in the June, during this time my GP did nothing really other than a yes your pregnant go to the pre-natal care clinic at 13 weeks. When i went at 13 weeks, i had my u/s and was told by he sonographer, it wasn't a viable pregnancy, i had no symptoms of miscarriage at all ! so later that day i had a D&C, that was totally devastating. Since then i have a new GP and sent me for tests etc.. found out i have PCOS.
Present time - About a week or so ago i found out i was pregnant, totally stoked i went to my OBGYN who started me on medication to help regulate my hormones etc.. to support the pregnancy. i had a tiny bit of spotting twice but nothing to be alarmed about. Then i went for a blood test on tues just gone and my HCG were at 1200, then on thursday i went for another BT and they had only risen to 1400 ???? My OBGYN has totally freaked me out by saying "i think the same thing is happening as last time" and he wants me to go see him on friday next week...
I am totally freaking out and have wanted a baby for so long !, i feel pregnant, sore boobies, peeing more than normal, no period or pain etc... just beig bloated... now i don' know what to think !
A similar thing happened to my partners sister, she had low levels (she didn't say how low) early on ad went on to have a beautiful boy.
i know i ca't do much, but i need some advice on how to look at this now... do i give up hope ????
Thank you everyone
I am probably not of much help but I think you would need another blood test to see what your HCG is doing. Did you have the BTs at the same place? I know there can be inaccuracys from one pathology to another. Also was it done 48hours later? Like did you have tuesdays done at 9am and Thursdays done at roughly 9amish if you know what I mean.
