Teh pasta salad sounds fine as long as there is no whole-egg mayo in there. But I would suggest eating the bacon hot rather than cooled

cheese slices and cheese sticks are fine. I eat soft cheese as well, as long as pasturised. Get the mayo with no egg in it! xo

Just thought I would add that cream cheese and cottage cheese are fine, even though they are 'soft' they are not classed as soft cheeses in the strict sense. Also most mayos that you buy at the supermarket are fine, as they have been pasturised. If you want to be cautious, avoid 'whole egg' mayo and freshly made mayo.

If you make the salad at home it is fine, as you know exactly what is in it and how it has been prepared and stored. Anything home made is fine to eat, as long as one of the ingredients isn't a 'no no' food like soft cheese or raw egg!

The thing with soft cheese is pasteurization and muold. I found pasteurized brie when I was pregnant and nearly fainted until I realized that half the problem was mould >.< (the white coating around soft cheese is mould).
