I haven't been throwing up (thank goodness) but have found ginger tea and dried ginger quite good. Ginger helps to settle a stomach.

Has anybody had ms set in before your missed period? I am 4w3d pregnant and have been feeling nauseated for about the last 10 days and getting worse. Though its not Ms, its all day and all night sickness at the moment!!! Having a hard time trying to hide it at the moment, because we have been staying at the in laws for the last week, and we don't want to tell anyone yet!

    hi V21,

I first vomitted at 3w4d, and that was what actually prompted me to POAS lol. I've ended up developing HG, and I am on zofran for it. I still vomit a few times a day but I'm a lot better. I hope everything settles down for you soon, its not a nice experience

This would be my fourth pregnancy and I am so thankful not to be as bad as the other three times. Zofran was my Godsend. Though this time around- like every other time I am still looking for every other remedy out there. It is a horrible feeling but I am at least handling it this time- helps to be to busy to. though still sitting here with my bag lol.. HG is not fun. Been there every other pregnancy but this time my MS hasnt started till this weeks- week 8 - so praying that it will only be here for a short time and then go.
Hang in there- it doesnt feel like it right now but it does get better! your not alone!!!

This sucks!! I don't know how people go back for another baby after the first. I spent an hour going back and forth to the loo dry heaving last night before bed. DP ended up just getting me a bucket to put next to the bed. Then this morning after a piece of toast I spent half an hour dry heaving again but can't get anything up!! I just end up with a head ache
Now I'm just sitting in bed eating/probably wasting premium crackers and ginger ale. I'm only 6+0! I have a whole new respect for anyone with more than one child. I can't imagine being a mum and dealing with this feeling
Can't wait til this crap first bit is over...
I think we go back for more because we forget how brutal ms can be...

I got through that stage though, thankfully! The hardest things for me were smells at work (the mishmash of perfumes/cologne...... the fact that the lunchroom is right outside my office....) and getting up to tend to DS during the night. Oh, and that morning nappy....... a lot of mouth breathing was going on a few weeks ago lol.

Plus I think we 2nd (or more) timers have the advantage of knowing these phases pass, and how worth it these symptoms are.

I totally agree except that this time I didnt plan anything! MS was still to fresh in my mind from last year. I would take labour over MS anyday!! lol.. Having gone through it before, it is wonderful to know that it is worth it, and I think it really helps having something to focus on in looking after the kids. I am actually really thankful for school holidays, I am not getting much of a chance to dwell on how I feel, just have to keep going. I find it helps and i think it helps that this time around I am not wanting to avoid vomitting but rather would prefer to just get it over with so I can keep going.. And I have increased the kids pocket money and their "earning jobs" lol... so I am not doing everything- extra hands are wonderful!
Just fyi to ladies- I discovered lemon yesterday by accident actually jut thought I would try it- it is wonderful, really seems to help settle my stomach. Everthing is worth trying I reckon! lol if for no other reason but to distract us!
speaking of distraction- I have so mch housework to do! lol. Thinking of getting someone in to do it for me this week... lazy but i think worth it.
How are you all feeling today? Thinking of you all.

Hey all, I am really blergh today. Just been one of those days... And to top it off, we have just over a month left on our lease, then we are moving back into our own home. I am looking forward to moving back, but not looking forward to the packing etc...... Hopefully tomorrow will be better, I am planning on doing some sewing while DH takes the older two to a birthday party.

I hope you are all starting to feel a bit better

Hi girls, I'm hoping you guys can help me.
I had bad morning sickness just before Christmas and had it every day. But now it's gone away..been like this for 2-3 days.
I only gag when I look at raw meat or preparing food. But I don't have that awful wave of nausea that washed over me like before. I'm only 7 weeks 4 days and I'm worried....
Heard nausea is a great sign but I'm losing the ms!!
Plus my boobs haven't been as sore the last two days...though they were kinda sore last night.
Is this normal? I have my ob appointment in 2 days.

Mel! How are you? You haven't popped up in the August belly buddies group yet. Would love to see you there.
My MS was constant and then came and went. I'd even have a day or 2 of not spewing and get worried but then go right back to being sick. I always had an uneasy seedy sort of feeling though and still do now at 10weeks even though I haven't spewed since New Year's Day.

My ms was the same. One day it just vanished for about 3 days, but then it came back I'm sure it will be back, and you will be cursing that damn ms!

I hope I get back my MS!! Thn. I'll 'feel' better ...
I still eat every two hours....or maybe less...always hungry. That's the only thing that's stayed and been consistent.

Hi girls! I'm hovering between August and September! MS is the pits, I was dreading it before I conceived and would give birth over and over again than go through this hell!! My MS got steadily worse with each of my pregnancies and I was hospitalized 3 times with my last!! I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and so far it's been somewhat bearable! I'm praying to God it's not going to get worse in the coming weeks!!

One tip..... Prenatal multis made me feel 100 times more sick so have stopped taking them for a bit. Still take my iFolic and going to try my kids multis just to get me through!

    Feeling your nausea! :-(

OMG I can't stop being sick this evening. Not massive vomiting, but a couple of mouthfuls every 5-10mins (sorry prob TMI). Then I got really hungry, but vomited the food up again. I have also had really bad reflux back of the throat burning. My EDD is some time in Dec, so still early days. I don't know how I will cope at work, ideas??
