Question MS help? What works for you?

    Hi Ladies,

I am nearly 9 weeks pg with #2 and really struggling with tiredness and all day MS. With DS the MS wasnt so bad but it lasted until around week 25! If this MS lasts for that long I will be a wreck.

I am thinking of trying one of the MS tablets avail like Blackmores or something and was wondering what had worked for others. I am currently taking 100mg of B6, 100mg Asprin (to reduce MC risk), 5mg Folate (high dose to avoid congenital abnormality present in DS) and just started on 100mg Iron.

I have found small frequent snacks help but this MS is bad all day and night. I get about one hour a day when I feel ok.

    Any thoughts??

    Rachel

Vegemite really worked for me. Just dipping my finger in it and licking it off my finger. I dont knw whether it is the vitamin B or the salt but it really was my saviour.

I hope that the ms eases for you soon. Congrats on your pregnancy.

I've heard some people say that if they eat something before they get out of bed in the morning it can help.

If DH won't or can't bring you breaky in bed then maybe you could try some snacks on your side table?

Best of luck! I know when I had mine I thought 'This is the last child!!!!'

Green apples worked a treat with DD1.....

The other thing that helped was Travacalm which is safe to take in pregnancy.

I had some success easing morning sickness with ginger, although by the time it was done, I couldn't stand anything with ginger in it! That taste still takes me back to those days of feeling terrible. Blegh.
This time, B6 has been doing wonders for me. Really made a big difference. I hadn't heard of it before, otherwise I would have tried it with the others.
I've heard some people say eat whatever appeals to you, no matter how weird or wonderful it is. (Provided it's safe for pregnant ladies, that is!) Pickles, salt and vinegar chips, baked potato, sour candies, whatever. If it helps, go for it!
Hope you find something helpful soon - it's such a lousy time!

I cant help with my personal experience as I suffer from HG while pregnant BUT I have had a few friends swear by hot chips. I gave it a go before I found out I had HG but it obviously didnt work for me.

    Could be worth a try?

Otherwise lots of people say eat in small proportions frequently, dry cracker before you get out of bed, ginger, flat lemonade

I really hope it passes for you soon.
