Hi all, just curious when was the earliest you started experiencing morning sickness or nausea?
I literally feel nausea's all day. And as a result feel extremely tired which i know is typical of early pregnancy but the nausea isn't helping at all
With my first pregnancy, it was all but immediate, I was hideously sick by 3 weeks.
My subsequent pregnancies I had none.
With DS1 at 8dpo. I threw up then did a pregnancy test (positive). It didn't go away until it was overtaken by reflux in the 2nd trimester, which didn't go away until birh)
Thanks ladies, and great, with my daughter i remember having it but not till around 9 weeks till around 4.5 months but this is soo draining..
Did anything give you guys relief at all?
taking a nibble of a dry biscuit. fruit tingles. only small amounts.
Mine went from 6-14 weeks. Nothing helped greatly but I took ginger/travel sickness tablets and tried to sleep as much as possible!
With my daughter i used to drink the lemon and lime solo's they sort of helped and also soda water but so far soda water isnt helping like before ;(
Will try the others though
Thanks heaps ladies truly appreciate it
I found that sipping very lightly on full sugar coke throughout the day helped meseemed to settle the stomach enough so I could function lol
Mine was immediate - it was too early to even do a POAS. Both times.
Lasted until 32 weeks with DS1, and the entire pregnancy with DS2 (literally - I vomited the day he was born ...)
I hope yours passes quickly, and that you find some good solutions between now and then!!
Nothing helped consistently ... mineral water would a bit, then lemon sherbert bombs for a day, then nothing, then everything made it worse, then cucumber, then wearing sea bands, then nothing ...
Sorry!
Mine started at 5 1/2 weeks and was terrible. Nausea & vomiting. Absolutely horrible.
With my first it wasn't until 8 weeks and carried on until I was in labour.
This time I'm 13w5d and still have it had.
Beat thing for me is the zofran anti nauseous wafers. I take them ever second day usually, cause I found if I take them daily they stop working a bit. So I pick the days I need them the most (work days) and spend the other days throwing up and feeling miserable.
I have tried B6, sea bands, chewy, peppermint tea, ginger tea and all the rest, but zofran is my only help
Sorry you are going through this, it sucks!! X
Only thing that helps me is restavit. You can take 1/4 tablet and it won't make you too tired (since it's a sleeping tablet)
Something that helped a lot, but was only doable for a short window (due to work commitments) was sleeping more - a lot more - as in at least 12 hours. Preferably 14.
Days that I was able to manage that much sleep, I felt considerably better, so much so that I sometimes didn't throw up more than a couple of times. I was still sick, obviously, but I didn't feel nearly as bad as normal.
Peanutter that is exactly what i did today, i slept and woke up feeling really good and then it came back..
Thanks heaps to everyone commenting im literally going to buy everything you guys are saying! I need to i cant do a however long it lasts for feeling ill and tired... But big THANK YOU! ❤️
Have you tried seabands?
They helped a little (not much) for me, but I've lent them to 2 people, both of whom have had positive results. Worth the $18 odd to give it a go.
Morning sickness started properly at around 5 weeks for me with both our girls and was a lot worse with DD2. I believe the lack of time to rest (as I was running after a toddler) made it worse with DD2.
The 24/7 nausea lasted until about 15 weeks or so with both girls. I took Maxalon with DD2 which helped a lot.
Like Peanutter said, I found extra sleep and rest help significantly as did snacking frequently. I always had crackers, dried fruit, a banana and apple on my bedside table so I could snack overnight (I felt like vomiting when I got up for the loo at night too) and also nibble on something before I got out of bed in the morning.
I also just ate and drank whatever helped ease the nausea in the early days, my healthy eating went out the window! I did snack on salt and vinegar chips and drank Cokequite a bit. I'm normally a very healthy person and rarely drink Coke so it was odd that it became my saviour!
Warm baths and showers also helped a lot. I use to get in the bath or shower with DD1 before DH got home from work. She had fun, had a wash and I got to relax a bit. I don't know why but warm water really helps me when I'm nauseous.
Congrats on your pregnancy, I hope the MS subsides quickly.
